When you're cycling drones, you'll get longer with them out if you retract drones, and wait until all the npc's are red-boxing you before you re-deploy them (firing a long-shot can encourage any npc's slow to get the message about what you want them to do!). As it is, you're re-deploying before you have all the npc's aggro'ing you, so the ones still yellow-boxing you are free to jump straight on your drones. The npc's will still cycle off you and onto the drones eventually anyway, but it takes 'em that bit longer, and the effect of just a little more time on target quickly escalates as you cull the incoming damage, which in turn makes it much less annoying.

I have used the Vedamak with success, was thinking of trying the Drekavac next. So far I have run the event successfully with a Legion, tengu, osprey Navy Issue, Ishtar, Ashimmu, Gnosis. Wanted to try one of the command ships like an eos or astarte, but as a primarily high sec PVE player, sadly BC's have limited use.

You can fit some RR for the drones to extend their life under aggression. A Grappler might be better option to get the frigates. Although I agree to the suggestion to try Smart, but you have to ultra paranoid with local/d-scan. I have done that with a Nestor, to clear the frigates. But missile ships do the site a lot easier than turret or drones.

I wonder if we'll see an T2 version? We've now got trig t2 assault frigate, command destroyer, and heavy assault cruiser available, plus new officer turrets for all three turret sizes.

@@janorszulik6429 well considering the others reduced weapon mounts by half, but with Bastian module those mount has massive damage. Trig version should have a similar bonus to its single turret. As to what, well range will be one for sure, and maybe the 150% is increased along with ROF. The other marauder bonuses would be the same. A Black-OP version would be the easier version to make as weapon mounts stay the same as the T1.

They'd work on the frigs, but yeah not really recommended. Too many risks and not really effective on the cruisers or boss NPCs.

Rapid Rattler (which I now affectionately call the "Rabbit") with precision scourge eats these sites up like a fat kid in a candy store...when I can find them. Been having a lot more success late at night when local traffic is light to non-existent. And even though half the site rats try to gun down my drones, because my Gecko gets nearly 7K in shields it basically doesn't give a shit, instead it just happily burns around one-shoting frigs and turning the cruisers into Swiss cheese. Would've liked it more if the bugs weren't so prevalent and the design so questionable. Maybe next live event, eh? 1st box was a synth blue pill...garbage, not even in the realm of worth the 13mil ISK, let alone the other crap needed. 2nd one was oddly a rat drop and was a damaged one. That one was a little better being a faction mod, but that should cover the cost of ammo spent this event and maybe a little profit past that. Also, when did comments section adopt the Reddit spacing crap? I didn't hit enter that many times.

Only issue I have with this Triglavian ships is it's weapon system... Heavy SINGLE target damage... Very useful in PVP scenarios, but in situations like this one, in PVE, it really lets you down :( Kills Battleships fast thought, can be useful in null ratting

It would only be useful in wormhole space because the ratts have up to 3mil ehp tank otherwise k-space rats would just instadie.

Luan X - I still haven't trained them yet, so I dunno what they're really like, but whilst I agree this weapon system is bound to be crap (or at least sub-optimal) in PVE situations where you're frequently switching targets, I think there are many PVP scenarios in which this would also be true. I get the impression that these ships/weapon systems are designed to suck in many occasions and excel in a few others (structure/cap/super cap takedown, for example) which suggests to me their deployment is intended to be part of a well-rounded small gang or fleet, and not so much a solo mission-runner. Perhaps tweaking your mission-running setup to include at least one other ship (selected and fitted to cope with whatever shortcomings you identify in the Trig' ship) would let you get more out of it? Let's face it, there are plenty of other ships good for solo PVE that mean you could reserve mucking about in Triglavian ships for when you have a buddy (or alt) handy to cover the aforementioned shortcomings.

K1lostream Can't argue here... Triglavian ships definitely have their place in EVE for PVP activities, going from small ganks to structure bashing an on, but the PVE side of it... Well, looks "swagui" as fuck thought, and for some, that is all that matters! LoL

I can tell you as a maxed triglaivian pilot that the line is basically useless for ratting outside of incursions, and C5 WH sites. Even then with the C5 sites it makes little difference with most of the rats compared to the armor rattlesnake. The difference really shows when killing the Drifter, where you violently shove your isk slathered shaft up it's tail end.

@@belmontsilver thats if you dont shop around, most of the t2 items you can find below 2mil. The deadspace items you can find sub 200mil. All dependent on where you shop or if you're will to travel to jita and amarr.

You find a lot of player will go to Jita to buy everything, but using evemarketer or similar you can find much cheaper prices within a few jumps, and sometimes a little futher you'll find items 1/10th the price. But does mean travel, and normally for the real steals means going lowsec or even nulsec, so use something fast and stealthy. ;) Other good option is buy t2 from our corp, if they're a good corp you'll get t2 items for construction costs.

Key is to fit to get best out of the ship. The drone capacity is good, as is the bandwidth. But sadly not as good as the Domi or Arma. Weak points are turret range and fitting requirements, plus low shield HP. But she's an armour tank so shields aren't much of an issue. The turret can only be countered with the modules and scripts, as there's no current RIG modules for it yet. As the Leshak us a mover(mainly to key target in optimal range) sentry drones aren't much use, so Geckos and augmented drones are the best option, along with webber drones. Ideally if you want an near unkillable fit you run with two m8s with similar fits and run a similar fit to the Nestor logi fleets, this is what the NPC trig invasion fleets do and it follows the Trig lore of 3 ship formations, makes for a lot of fun for you and your m8s, no so for your targets.

@@delonewolf a lot. My mach with two pith c-type invuls and a gist x-type XLSB could barely tank one flight of fighters, not even talking about the rats BTW this mach was able to kill the event BS in its first iteration (3k DPS)

I run Guardian Gala sites all day with a Loki. Auto Cannons and Armor Rep just wreck those sites in like 5 minutes. The small guys swarm you but with a web and auto cannons they get wrecked

Yep, you certainly can scoop, but only once it passes it's initial 10 second anchor timer. It's why folks often recommend you stay near them like you would sentries...so you can scoop and move at will.

The drones thing annoys me beyond words. I keep getting told that it's a dps thing. If that was true then why does my navy vex never take drone damage even tho the drones are doing 100% of the damage. They are never targeted but when I'm in a battleship they love nothing better than to auto attack them the moment they leave the bay. The game is coded for NPCs to attack drones only when you are to big to kill frigs and its fucking bullshit.

This is such a waste of a ship. The Leshak is a PVP SHIP not a pve ship for highsec. You are shooting at targets with only a few hundred-few thousand EHP, but the Leshak takes minutes to spool up. At this point your drones are being more effective then your main weapon. The leshak is for killing caps/supers and other battleships, and possibly breaking logi reps, its a PVP ship, you do you but it is a huge waste of money to try ratting with it and it looks kinda stupid. Maybe try it in wormholes or something.

If you have friends in Eve, the Leshak is the fastest possible clear times for LvL 4 Duo Missions. With maxed skills and a medium pimped setup you do tremendous damage and are basically unkillable with your partner's RR. The best setup is (4) Sentries with Light Drones for Frigs up close, double Weapon Computers (starting with Range Scripts, change to Tracking as needed). When you land on Grid, drop Sentries then insta-pop everything up to most BC and chew through everything else like it isn't there. It's much faster than Duo RS, Duo Machs, etc.

I agree that drones are more effective. did you know ? You can warp at 50 on the site and kill rats before they reach you. However the leshak has its niche uses in pve.

@@guigolum T2 Wardens with maxed skills and 2x DLAs in the Highs will helps pull them to you, and in some cases kill them before they get within the ~69+ KM range of Mystic (using double Computers). An X-Type MWD does fit and the Leshak will go nearly 1500 m/s using an Abyssal. The faster kill time is due to the instant attack of it's weapons and ultra fast ROF. Rail Guns have horrible damage (but holy crap range) and Blasters aren't doing shit until ~20km in a Vindi/etc. AC's give you a decent middle option to apply fast dmg to the NPC's but you still don't have the punch at the range of the Disintegrators. Forget Artys, the reload is beyond horrible for fast clears. That leaves Missiles. And yes, the RS is an amazing SOLO LvL 4 runner but the kill times are bad due to travel time of either Drones or Cruise. The upside is Sentries do a fuck ton of dmg (when) they can hit the target, topping out around 800 DPS. However, for DUO LvL 4's (because why not, Missioning is boring AF Solo) there is nothing faster than 2 Leshaks. I've been playing Eve on/off since 6/6/07, started in 0.0 [MERCHI] and moved to Empire about a year later to play with buddies who didn't want to PvP, got lazy and stuck around in Empire lol. I use the full Geno Set (won't fit other wise) + 5 & 6 (Warp) + RF-906 and the rest are up to personal taste. Highs: T2 Weapon + 2x DLA + 'Peace' RAR + ARAR. Mids: X-Type Gist MWD (Abyssal) + Dark Blood Web + 2x Tracking Computers (Range Scripts). Lows: 4x Entropic (Abyssals) + Reactive + Therm/Kin/Exp Hardners (lazy fit, no need for specific type per Mission). Rigs: User choice. Is it overkill, yes, is it more enjoyable insta popping everything up to some BC's, yes (though HAC NPC's still take a few hits).
