I've been experimenting with a dual web Onyx for T6 Dark Abyss vs the Cerberus I normally use. The DPS and tank/resists are comparable to the Cerberus, only 58 DPS less with my skills, but it allows you to fit an AB or MWD while maintaining dual webs. A cheap Onyx might be a better fit for T4s than a Cerberus. With High-Grade Hydras + dual webs in T6, I can usually hit for full application with rage missiles on things like Damaviks and larger, so it's actually out damaging my T6 Cerberus which has to use faction ammo. I'm still running tests, but so far the only disadvantage vs the Cerberus I've experienced is lack of range (not a huge deal), no drones, and it's less resistant to neuting.

General question: Why is a 2nd web better then a target painter or missile guidance computer (precision script)?

@@dexer.2173 I tried a target painter and missile guidance computer briefly while testing and wasn't getting as good results. It might be because of the velocity boosts in dark sites that it was still better for dmg application to reduce their velocity vs increase their sig or enhance my missiles. Just greater benefit of one vs the other is my guess. My Cerberus doesn't run any webs and still hits really hard, but it's relying more on brute force vs the Onyx I'm testing out.

@@dexer.2173 I'm with dexer here. 2 webs hits the stacking penalty for affecting the same attribute. Target painter would increase sig radius of the target, and as a bonus it works at farther range than the web has, and a guidance computer would affect all missiles.

Webs, even the 2nd, has greater effect than a TP or MGC. Just looking at the Onyx, a second Web + Crystal has better appliction and slightly better tank than Multi + Hydra. This matters only against small targets anyways which are typically within 14km

you should try with Rage, its much better against the Cyna with 2x web. Its also slightly more optimal to go for the norrmal Cynabals first to reduce incoming damage

L4 Missions with a Battleships like Rattle post-changes would be handy because there isn't much out there that's helpful especially as just dipping the toes into it newbro-ish

@@Aceyface Mostly the changes that came in a month or two ago for them (I think shields and surg strike?). Haven't seen a lot of fit changes since then, but have to assume some options became more available, especially for the harder missions. Thoughts?
