if you set you're drones to passive does this mean they dont randomly switch targets? they drone randomly swap targets cause me to die on test server vs vedmak spawn i delted with before in t2 extoic. I had new worm fit for t2 abyss.i got wrecking shot by vedmak was bad enough but the drone being stupid might someting that can be handle.its almost work for 20 runs.I have a buffer worm simlar to you're hybrid gila fit. its kinda like the fit i showed you but with few changes.

You know what I am curious about... Is there a ship and a fit that could warp on this or equal Triglavian fleet on zero and mele tank and kill em? If you were shield spec Vargur with autocannons and siege (you know all that it requers to work like that for extended periods of time, cap injectors, shield hardeners, repairs, enough bullets and cap pills... Can those Triglavian fleets be outfought like that or snipers only? Or it is simply not work the hassle to mele em for the gain, because you cannot properly loot and you kill em only for having em killed with mele builds?

there was a golem fighting them that had just got wrecked its good to be aware of other hunters in your system and how they play do you can warp in correctly if you guys end up on the same grid also leaving your packrats out can create a similar situation where when you land with the packrat they will be with you because trig like to scan neutral things and orbit them

Now that i have played naga by your guide .... i also managed to pull a fleet 100-150km out and then a golem popped in :D He was lucky though, managed to jump out right away. And that was a big spawn too. Probably in my case just didn't get warp scrammed there.

XD i always say trigs are not easy to do solo... that golem was asking for it, i think he logged off XD... unfortunate for your paladin but this things can happen. if you farm the same systems all the time it might be worth to just create saves around all planets and warp to them...

Looked like the first wave was still there, guess is he had a DC. When you scanned the planet at distance the Golem would have shown on the scan, maybe a way to check the scene.

Might have managed w/two multispecs, reactive and dual reps in bastion. Could also benefit from implants and boosters.

They left, usually trigs do this when people warp off grid completely

@@Aceyface Would a nightmare not be better for this? Its highly mobile, 1000 m/s with AB, 1300 overheated, boosted even further with implants / drugs to 1.7k, huge alpha 5.2k vs 3.2k paladin, more mid slots for tracking computers, sensor booster, tank, full low slots for damage mods? Bastion mode is nice but only if you don't have 10 frigs closing in on you fast and cant track them at 50km. Nightmare does 5.1k alpha as well. 1300m/s with overheated AB so even if the frigs close in, you can outrun the bigger ships. You also have 50% better tracking on the beams. You can sort of kite the trigs in this ship I think? You can deal that damage while moving fast. It has less DPS than bastion paladin but that will only make you take another 2 minutes extra killing the bigger ships. Maybe give that a try?

Yeah I had the same thing happen to a friend in null doing Trig WHs. It was ike 6 trigs then like 30 ships escalated on him. RIP

Oh thats pretty unlucky with the dude warped in from the same position...only thing should be a better look on the D-Scan if there is also another Ship...or warp to the Position with a small Ship with a Alt-Account...dont think there are other ways to avoid it :/ Hope the Paladin is ISK Positive and thanks for the share...sometimes you lose, sometimes the others just win...or something like that xD PS: Do you also will start the 3D Printing/Painting again? That very short deep scan window probably killed you, if you were able to see every ship in that spot and see the golem there maybe you would had think twice. I started using the small ds window like you after seeing it in your other videos but now i'll keep it big and visible, as it should always be. Also saved warpouts on every planet i've fought trigs by now.

The golem before you must have been in trouble and gathered the Trigs around him before he died, at the exact time you landed.

Thats happened to me before. I usually check to see if theres someone else killing trigs there as well just in case to avoid these situations as well.

You asked how you could prevent that situation in the future, make a separate scanner that checks for player ships only when you scan. You would have seen the golem on dscan and been safe. Fly safe !!!

Oof... Yeah, tried Trig hunting once before the Winter Nexus Event. Probably the most unpredictable PVE that I've tried. Can't wait to get back into it!

I had this problem by myself. Some noobs cant fight them and stretching the spawn across several km. Since then, i always create a warpin by myself with the cormorant. Everything else would be way to risky

I lost my Paladin in a PVE Gurista mission due to not timing the Bastion module turn off timer as well as not being aligned in time.. I had the same reaction, like OMG... it's so much easier to deal with the loss if it's not PVP for some reason.

Best way to fight trigs is zero on top of the station. You dock and undock when things get hairy and spooled up.

I gotban idea for your cap problem, you can actually nos drekavacs and leshaks, at least my vargur can (2 flux coils, republic fleet cap battery, gist x-type x large sb, one ccc 1, t2 collision accelerator, dcu, two pithum c-type multi, dark blood web, t2 grappler, two gyros, 800mm autocannons). The fit itself is cap stable, but i have one x-type heavy Nosferatu equipped, gives you 12gj/s extra, for added safety if many neuts are on grid

Man I lost my Paladin just before Christmas. I did the usual, warpin at 100km i align for my safe and deploy my MTU. Then I MJD out to another 100km so i could start blapping Trigs. Or so i thought!! Turns out i didnt hit the MJD and before i realised they where on me, had me scrammed then a massive fleet of them warped in. I didnt last long after that lol.

Paladin is one of the few sub caps capable of tanking an entire Trig fleet(w/dual rep), and can effectively solo hunt/farm triglavians - good ISK

Maybe warping to POCO from a different angle would be better? No using straight-from-station route but maybe bouncing off the planet? ITs not 100% solution but chance of ending up in a cloud of Trigs would be smaller becouse ppl tend to use straight routes from stations, gates etc Making a deep safe and warping to Trigs from there would be the safest.

I dont understand why all of you guys fit your marauders like glass cannons when their main benefit/specialty is tanking. Why would you lower your defense by like 2000% just to get 40% more damage on paper that often times doesn't even apply fully with modules that have -75% diminishing returns. The benefit in kill speed is so minimal compared to the risk increase you get from such a weak tank.

You should use bookmarks like 200km away from the planet or 150km in a up/down direction. It doesn't take much time in an interceptor and it will be much safer if you are always ratting in the same system :)

Yeah you should use custom bookmarks so you know no one else could be using that location or at least approach from a weird angle... so not directly from a station or something so if someone is kiting they aren't drawing it towards your warp in.

Idea: If one activates an 'acceleration gate' it always drops you rather close to the enemies and most of time within 20 km of them. Yet because they have not yet been aggro-ed, one has time to use the microwarpdrive and jump to 100 km before they attack. Just a hypothesis but: If you always jump at '0 distance' you might always end up with enough time to get away AND if someone aggro-ed them already they'll no longer be at 0 km So, rather ironically it might be safer to always jump at 0 ... Than again I've not yet tested this hypothesis ...

Here is a situation where an alt that can warp cloaked can go in first and make sure the coast in clear would be handy. Maybe extra salvage drones as well.

Sucks, the golem already pulled those trigs away from spawn in point Only way to make sure this doesn't happen again use a scout with a cloak. On warp in you can mwd of engaging cloak PVE stuff usually has a slight delay on agressing I think you can also eject and bookmark the ship I'm not sure but pve de-agress vs an empty ship We should test this
