Omg you were so close! If you align to something towards the gate, when they de-agress to follow you through the gate you have a chance to instantly warp out.

The only addition I would add to what you've already acknowledged is to use the gate guns to your advantage. Unless there is logi support (or you are free engageable) anything below a cruiser will be forced off within seconds and even T1 cruisers will only be able to sustain the grid momentarily before having to ping. Given you had a Moa I dont know if this would have helped but crashing isnt always the best option. Align out and look for that window which came at several points. The stilletto had to warp as soon as the point was obtained. If you hit warp then that would stop your ship allowing the Vedmak to get secondary but if you align then you carry on aligning until you are ready. I suspect the Vedmak would have got point anyway but as mentioned earlier, most cruisers cant sustain for long under gate gun pressure and you had a good few seconds without point to warp out. TD:DR unless you have a rap sheet, gate guns are your friend.

Good point, I think alighning and waiting for the stiletto to be forced off my gate guns when it was just us 2 would have been a good play.

You can switch your ammo just prior to jumping the gate and it will finish the reload while you are cloaked after the jump.

Felt so good the first time I escaped a gate camp. You just gotta afterburner cloak up and try and get out of the bubble without them getting close.

can i ask?, its common in eve scaping from hunters? im just an observer of the game i want to know if in some sense you have to be a master of scaping xddd just for the experience.

@@vaimast When you enter a gate there will be a bubble enemy players put up. You are cloaked when you enter so you pop afterburner for speed the use your cloak (If you're in a spec ops ship) and try to burn out in a direction they wont suspect. If they get close they will decloak you and you'll die. If you get out you can warp to a planet and get away dont warp directly to another gate could be people there watching.

Warp off when you first land or warp off when they warped off to reset gate guns they were taking from attacking the Moa. Beyond that you were toast. Maybe you could have killed the flycatcher to remove the fastest tackle they had on one side of the gate but you would have had to stay alive for long enough to de-aggress to reset the fight. I doubt that last suggestion would work though since the broadsword is probably sensor boosted.

That was a tough situation. I think I would of started to burn the Stiletto with drone and anything I had on the second time back through when It was just the two of you. Hope to get him at least or get through while the others were jumping. IDK though. I think you were right at the beginning, not jump and hit the safe spot was the only chance. I haven't flown in NULL and LS gangs aren't that coordinated. The ones I have seen are more on the greedy side.

Yep I think the stilleto when it was just the 2 of us would have been the play once gate guns had kicked in he would have to warp and so I could then escape.

You mentioned the things i would've done differently in your commentary. You landed at 0 saw the camp, could've just warped off then instead of jumping. If you get pointed then you can just jump. The campers that stayed in first system likely had aggression timers and couldn't follow the moa, so you could have waited on the gate in the second system for more of them to jump since you weren't getting beat up. Hindsight is always easy in these situations. Overall you did pretty well! These camps aren't easy to sneak away from in cruiser+

I would have tried to 1v1 that stiletto while aligned to a planet or something. Maybe you could have forced them to de agress. Tough spot. Good vid.

Yeah I hear ya on that 1, once gate guns had started on the stilletto it may have been my chance to escape.

It's not about escaping. It's about not being there in the first place. Heydieles is a high risk system. I would always check the number of ships in Heydieles and Fliet before even considering warping to 100 km from the gate and scout. Good video, thank you!

Heydelies is one of the main systems I like to hunt for solo pvp in, I think setting up gate pings is gonna be a good option going forward.

Bugger me!! That is super unlucky. I definitely agree with the warp to a safe the moment you saw the camp but once they had you penned it was all over for sure. Couldn't have done better if I tried. Great stuff as always mate!

You lasted way longer than I would have...I would have chosen to go after the stilleto then wouldn't have been able to get away as they followed to clean up. Tough one...they played it smart.

Indeed they did! As I had blasters with void in my range was very short and every time I jumped through nothing was ever close enough to go all in on. 👍

In 3.00, should have just move to another gate rather then turn back. The single stiletto, maybe could have just align to somewhere in order get some distance while just shoot at him. Yours should have some DPS can can shave him if it ever hit. Well in the end they definitely will get you or maybe... I remember mine... I think the main cause was panic as we do not know what to do.

You could not have done anything better. As you sayed, void or drones not an option. Randoms warping through or actully reporting them in militia might have changed the traffic on that gate.

The one thing I do is try to see what my ship might be closest Aligned to when cloaked. Try to warp to that (would do it on the side with slowest lock) If that doesn’t work I just burn the gate over and over until they accidentally all aggress or I get a good enough align.

Later in the video I do look for a celestial to quickly warp to, but I was in a bad state by then lol.

@@sabresg This doesn't actually matter. If your ship is stationary, the time-to-warp is always the same no matter what angle the destination is at. Its a product of how EVE is coded as ships being a sphere with no defined front/back.

The time isn't always the same if you use the afterburner trick. Sometimes you can cut several seconds off your time to warp by letting it pulse a few times and turning it off.

I have only just returned to EVE but you were ok because they couldn't initially break your tank while you kept jumping the gate. I would have looked for something to warp to in line with the gate you are burning back to and when they dropped the point then insta-warp to the inline object. I assume the interceptors were speed tanking gate guns and be too fast for drones? If not to fast for drones then I would have waited until all have aggressed on one side and then took on the interceptor with drones on the other side while aligning for insta-warp. Hopefully the drones may force the interceptor to break point.
