so.... two small things that have been bothering me about the way you scan: 1. you can center the signature you're scanning down by double-clicking the selected result in your signatures list which makes it a bit easier to center your bubble of probes on them, and 2. you can hold ALT and use the scroll wheel to increase/decrease the scan probes' range setting - makes scanning a little faster overall because you don't have to move the mouse around quite as much.

you could just click the signature on solar system map once, centers your screen too and its even faster because you dont have to move your cursor back and forth (even though it barely makes any difference)

Another tip for safety - set your filters in d-scan to pick up scan probes, that way you cane see if someone is homing in on you or hunting you with combat probes at which point you keep moving and warping to safe spots or get out of system

Ignoring the fact I was feeling pretty dopey one morning, I wandered into a data site, ran ALL the caches and was warping out when the response fleet spawned, and I realised it was a covert site - I was sooooooo lucky to get away with that. TBF, it was highsec and the loot was only 40 mill ish combined - this was before CCP added all those lovely advanced components that can be worth 50 mill on their own.

With the Ghost site, fitting a cargo scanner will allow you to find the one with the best items inside.

in these sites you have 2 types of containers. 2x of a certain type and 3x. In the 2x Type there can bematerials for capitals which are high value. But only in 1 of them. Cargo scan while approaching. Switch when approached wrong. Value of those item: 30mill + each. It can contain max 2 (from about 30 i did only once!)

The region I've been living in seems to have a pretty high spawn rate for ghost sites, a couple notes: Once you start hacking a can, if you move out of range / cancel the hack / fail the hack once, the can explodes with enough damage to one shot any frigate. Haven't tried in a cruiser though. If you're being greedy and pushing your luck, remember that when you start the hack you're committing to succeeding or dying. They are super buggy. The rats are supposed to spawn at 3 minutes but I've seen them as soon as 30 seconds from warp in. A cargo scanner is your best friend for these sites, in my experience there's one can with 100m+ and the others will have around 10m on average. Given how risky and flaky it is, the best strategy I've found is to warp in, scan all the cans, then only hack the high value one and get out.

True, although im using astero. i usually bring a mobile depot with me and i refit zo tank the explosion damage. Its possible with explosion damage armor hardeners and 1600plating. True tho, once it exploded like 20 sec after i came

The explosion caused by a failed hack can destroy a T3. You need a *huge* buffer tank to survive this.

Why its a douche move to kill someone in nullsec? I mean if ppl living there are pacifists its very cool, but its called nullsec for a reason, no? Limiting content is a douche move. Dont get me wrong i apreciate every playstyle and love how creative ppl can get, but it hurts when ppl telling me i should not shoot them beacause of some rules they made for them selves.
