Regarding Eve being the cause of Adam's downfall. The Qur'an Says : "They both ate from it" 20:121 Not placing the blame on any one person alone. This verse therefore shows that they each exercised their own will and therefore each were responsible for their own actions. It was revealed in the 7th century and established a narrative not of female suffrage but one where men and women are responsible for their own actions.
