Baking soda is more damaging than bleaching powder, it dries the hair more and lightens less, that's what my stylist told me, that it's better in any case in a bleaching bath of bleaching powder, peroxide, water and shampoo to do a color sweep when there is not much residue of the previous color🤗🤗🤗 P.S: you look soooo beautiful as always 🤍🤍🤍

Baking soda is still pretty damaging. Hair Buddha would agree he says it isn’t much less damaging than bleach actually. I’m a licensed cosmetologist too (just like Hair Buddha.)

It came out great! We also use fanola products for my flatmates hair :) Have you tried shampoo caps before? Just deep cleaning shampoo on damp hair. Let it sit for as long as you like and rinse (Deep condition, the hair is really dry afterwards:D ). We achieved good result with that for removing semi dyes :) or chelating hair helps as well.

The baking soda wasn't the ingredient that removed the color, it was the developer. You could put it with cake mix and it would still remove the color. You basically ruined your hair twice instead of just doing a bleach bath once.

The baking soda is not the thing that makes it work. Hydrogen peroxide is bleaching/lightening in nature. The baking soda is i believe there to give it a better texture to apply on the hair.

You are basically bleaching your hair , the dish soap and purple shampoo are unnecessary. The only reason this doesn’t damage as much is because you are only using 10vol . So just get developer, powder bleach and use purple shampoo as toner . Dish liquid is doing nothing . Yes heat does help
