@@dihydrogenmonoxide6231 Totally agree with you here! What I didn't realize, though, in just reading the trilogy, is that the series focus ISN'T Tris, it's Four. It's simply that in the main series we're seeing Four through Tris' eyes as she moves through her experience, but in the end, you realize that the whole thing was Four's journey to finding out who he really was. Tris already knew, she just had to help him find the way. While I love Theo James as an actor, his casting here totally threw off the story-line. Rather than just being a few years (at most) older than Tris at 18, he was in his early to mid 20's. Much better flow of the story line in the books themselves. Though I did love the author's interview when she stated she had to take the time to finish her degree before going on, because she didn't want to have to explain to her kids down the line that Mommy didn't finish college because she wrote this book that made a lot of money LOL.

When someone says they hate divergent..... me: pETER, bUTTerKniFE, NOW! LOL NOT MINE .... ive got to say this evelyn, this was a brilliant edit. honestly divergent is one of the best dystopians ive read, trust me the movies kinda ruined tris but the books are way better than other dystopians. lot of toxic hunger games fan hate this series and say divergent copied hunger games but divergent was written 2 years before hunger games was even published lol. this really captured the essence because truly the era was gonna change and all those factions were gonna go. i honsetly got to know bout divergent like what in 2014? or something but here i am being such a fangirl over the books and trust me youve got to READ THE FRIKKIN BOOKS THEYRE WAY BETTER. all in all tris is the best dystopian hero ever since she seems to be designed like a real person and not like a hero. this book actually helped me get better from anxiety as i could relate to tris. this was an amazing edit and im looking forward to more edits. btw i loved the peter scenes hes a love/hate character ! plus we dont know which side he was on so lol

I love divergent but divergent was written and published after the hunger games and the author just wrote the book for a quick buck and this story’s backstory is supposed to be about fixing genetics so then why’d they put factions? That just split them all up and caused wars and so many more bad things to happen the author obviously had no plan for the divergent world. Divergent (the first movie/book) should’ve been a stand alone story

It was all an accident, I swear! I usually don’t find spoilers and I’ve never before watched the movie before reading the books, it is pretty much considered a crime in my friendship group to do so 😂
