These days it seems like Gameloft developers have lost their brain cells. What were they even thinking when they put a car nitro with maximum of 21 nitro?
On top of that, they have introduced some of the new money grabbing pass.

So I kept my grinding on to be able to catch up with others. And I didn’t really like the grinding process. If I start playing Asphalt 8 now, again I have to grind a lot to be able to catch up with others. Which I don’t think would be a good choice for me.

This is the kind of car you have to drive without nitro pretty much the whole race ,,,so I recommend using single nitro more because acceleration somewhat makes up for the lack of nitro boost.
