I wear a giro fixture and it is amazing! So much nicer than my old $20 Walmart helmet. It is $50 but it looks and feels like helmets 3 times that. It has mips and feels very safe and also has protection on the back of the head.

I ride a Giro Chronicle in a large right now but it's never quite fit right. I tried the Maya 2.0 on and I can fit into the small/medium which is amazing. It's just the right shape for me. If find the Kali Maya fits similar to an Arai motorcycle if you're a motorcyclist.

Last year I crashed and apparently nocked myself out cold, I was wearing a 7idp m2 helmet, the helmet broke in the crash. Although the helmet did prevent me from a serious brain injury, it did not protect me from a concussion. I did some research after the crash for a new helmet and settled on the Maya. I had a similar crash a month ago with a side impact and was not injured. I promptly ordered another Maya helmet, now I'll have to figure out how to send back the old one for a replacement. The Maya seems like a great value.

The Cthulu circles make more sense to me than MIPS. The Maya 2 is probably my next helmet, but I'm not in love with the colorways. I like the colors on the old Maya a lot better.

I like the concept, it’s actually only 25% off but that better than nothing. My only problem is having to pay for shipping to have the old one inspected and if it doesn’t need replacing, you have to pay for shipping it back. So it’s worth it if you have a big crash, I’m not so sure on the smaller crashes do to “One time use.”

I bought one based on the fact you ride one! I do wonder about the light/camera mount though, I didn't get anything with my helmet and don't see anything noted on Kali's website about a mount. Do you have any more information on that? Mounting a light is a PITA...

I was wrong about that, Kali contacted and let me know that there isn't a way to put a GoPro/Light up top. I would consider modifiying a GoPro sticky mount to fit up top tho!

I got a Giro switchblade for Christmas super comfy helmet with removable chin protection but sweat in it when it's really warm so on hot days I use a bell 2r 🤙

Hey Norbert, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I do 2-3 days a week in the gym. Core work is by far the most important. Then I'd say leg stuff like squats, deadlifts, and box jumps, and finally, lats, triceps, and chest are all key. I lump push ups in with core exercises.

It has helped with overall stamina and given me a bit of extra power on the climb - at least I believe that! You have any suggestions with improving climbing apart from climbing more?..LOL. I've been using a Giro Revel (I think that's what it's called) for about a year and its awesome. It has Mips, is very adjustable, very breathable, and is only like $50-60.
