If you fail to find any logic into this law, then think about it other way round. To my understanding this law is there to prevent boys and adult males to have intercourse with girls under 18. Always remember, sex is not always the same as u imagine it would be. Especially if you very young it could be painfully uncomfortable, and this case is only with girls and not boys.

The case was maliciously filed by her mother simply because they were in a relationship when they were both minors, and the boy happened to cross 18. This ridiculous technicality has ruined their lives, and thanks to the rigidity of POCSO, the case cannot be withdrawn. To make matters even more heartbreaking, her mother has passed away, yet the family continues to suffer. Now, he, his wife, and their innocent children are being punished for something that wasn’t even a crime. This is the ugly side of laws being misused without logic or compassion. destroying lives instead of protecting them.
