I don’t know why goodwill cares what you purchase or for what , they have everything donated , and they should be happy to move inventory . The problem is the rent & wages have gone up so that may be why prices have risen . However our hospital auxiliary thrift shop is run entirely by volunteer & every day they have a special section that is half price , so t shirts become $1.50 and all sweaters $2.50 !!!

Open the pillow cover and look inside for a tag. A goose down pillow insert is expensive and will increase your asking price. You can spritz them with watered down alcohol and leave them in the sun to disinfect (the insert). A silk or velvet cover can be spritzed with water and left in the sun for 30 minutes. Decorator pillows can easily retail for hundreds. Y’all found great stuff this day!

If you google Goodwill and how they help people, they don't. It's a business like Dollar General. They will not help anybody here in NC. I never take my stuff there. It's always the Church Thrift Shop or the Salvation Army because they help the less fortunate.

FYI I always wash the pillows unless they are new with tags. Then I steam them . Pillows are good to sell . Never hurts to steam them and gets rid of germs or other creatures that may be hanging around . Steamer is a must have for clothes in my opinion. Men's shirts especially do well after being steamed . Great finds today !!

I highly recommend getting a Blackstone! We have one that has the air fryers, and we absolutely love it and cook everything on it. We splurged and got all the Blackstone accessories, lol. Blackstone has such good spices too.

It's a dog hair exchange program LOL! I don't pass on that, if it has dog hair on it, it will simply acquire a similar patina from our german shepherd. I wash stuff anyway. Some pretty fabulous dryer sheets eliminate dog hair and we LOVE them!

Buy Dryell for home dry cleaning in your dryer for the pillows! Also if you want to freshen up pillows buy the space bags and spray Lysol or Fabreeze on pillows, liberally place in space bag and suck the air through them. I do my couch cushions even to freshen!

In Northern Illinois where I am, Goodwill is the best with best prices in this area. Goodwill helps kids with special needs also.
