I'm 40 and have fallen many times. It's a sign of growth and learning. To me, if you don't fall now and again, you're not pushing yourself and your horse a whole heck of a lot.

Yes, I always think of it! I always make sure it's happy. I'd do anything for it! And if it's feeling alittle under the weather I'd do my best to cheer it up, like giving it it's favorite treats, grooming it, talking to it etc. I'd never force my horse to do something it doesn't want to do.

but luckily, i stopped throwing up in the morning, and by sunday i was riding again, shes amaze she stayed with me for over 40 mins whilst i was knocked out, she is an amzing horse, they both are, they helped me through severe depression, and they have saved my life on so many occasion, i love them with all of my heart, they are my whole life, i love horses, and i no many other people in this world do to :D

Love ur Videos!!! "Even Riders Fall" is my FAVORITE!!! I like the one where the rider falls off and does the splitz!!! One time, my horse spooked and bucked me off. Then, I hit the cement wall...Still have some scars/mental bruises. These Videos helped me realize that u have 2 get back into the saddle when u fall off. Thx.

I don't know why someone would think of their horse that way. I just love riding cause its fun, it's a good way to get rid of the stress I feel at times. It's like when I climb on the back of a horse all that stress goes away and I'm at my happiest. :)

Nobody can ever say riding, especially jumping, is easy. Anyone can catch a ball - but not everyone can stay on the back of a horse jumping 3 or more feet. These kids are awesome!

i loved this video. the ending really portrayed the feeling of getting over a fall or refusal. believe me. i know. and the rider and jumps were not too big for the little white pony. we have a pony just like him/her at our barn and he jumps barrels and stuff with teenage riders. he does great!

Because some horses are impossible to find a saddle too, maybe their other saddle broke and they allready paid for the lesson. There's a lot of reasons.

Just a point - Horses living in captivity can live up to 4 times longer than they would in the wild. Horses in the wild don't recieve all the nutricious food we give them, nor hoof trimming or shoeing. Horses in the wild generally pass on at about the age of 8, where as domesticated horses can live anywhere between 30 to even 40 years old. I'd be happy with that if I were a horse.

Uhh I hate falling off when youre jumping. Once I went towards the jump and did two point and my horse skidded and flung me off at the jump. It hurst so much! I love this video! I watch it everyday, to remind myself on how bad it hurts, haha!

just wanted to say..to all those people saying she's too big for that pony, she might be a bit big, but shetland pony's are one of the strongest ponies. and it would never go over those jumps if it thought its rider was to heavy. and besides people ride their ponies all the time that are too small for them, just because they love them. its not gunna hurt them unless their feet are dragging on the floor- then its time to get a new pony xP

I love those Norweigen Fijords! The only wreck that really looked bad was the first one where the rider did the splits upon hitting the ground.

Great vid,and well put together. Shows we can't give up, but always try again and face our chellenges and fears... That's what is shown in the end when all of the riders are successfull in their jumps, they tried again. I ride in school but i never fell, guess it has gonna happen someday... But i hope not 100 times!!! :)

Also they can get seriously ill too.. if kept in stables for long periods of times.. but i agree.. i use to work with a stally like tha... in the end we had a huge grass ring built with a stable for him:D xx

The girl on the Fjord pony staying on even when he over jumped is awesome! I wish i could learn to jump but i am too scared to really ride anymore because I had a bad fall. I ended up breaking 3 fingers, 2 knuckles, the pinky bone in my hand was displaced 5mm and I broke my wrist all in one go when my girth blew at a canter in a corner.... Still to scared to get on and that was 3 years ago. All the horses I go near seem to not like me and the one i did ride bucked me off withing 5 minutes...

A horse will refuse a jump if you don't know how to ride it properly and give it encouragement. Some people need to learn that. :(

That little shetland has no problem with that fence when it comes to the height cause that's the height she normally jumps during training. And if you've seen the whole movie you should've seen her going over it too.

my horse jumps like a dream she is a champion and she still knocks them off and sometimes she falls to so ti doesn't mean they can't and i had a shetland once that jumped twice it's own height they are suprising animals.

Well, Nattis has beeen doing very great in all her shows. She never put down a fence and Lina has never fallen of, they refuse on grey fences but that's all.

Well since it was a practice they were working on it. Or was, she doesn't have the horse anymore. And yeah, it's a dressagesaddle but she was going to buy another one (allround-saddle) but she hadn't find anyone who was good since he's almost impossible to find a good saddle for.

@LetsFlyOnceMore Mhm, At my stables we're taught "how to fall". It's called the tuck & roll; you protect yourself & hinder the posibility of breaking your back, neck, arms &/or legs. It makes falling "smoother". If you're headed towards the ground feet first, you don't want to TRY to land on your feet b/c you could snap a ligament or snap your kneecaps in half. =S You have to move with the impact by tucking & rolling where-ever you're headed; back or forwards, not against it. It's much safer.

If the horse trip you can. Never say you can't hurt yourself, you can fall of and break your neck from walking a horse if you have really bad luck.
