Even if I’m in Lewis' car I’m still two tenths faster than him - Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen had led much of the race in Baku, up until the five laps from the end, But then disaster struck, in the form of a tyre blowout and crash at the end of lap 46.
And after the race, his chief rival in driver championship, Lewis Hamilton believed that his lack of pace compared to Verstappen came down to Red Bull having the faster car around the streets of Baku, to which Max Verstappen replied, I think if I’m in his car I’m still two tenths faster than him.

I think Max would certainly be at Lewis’s level for pace in the same car. It’s something entirely different beating him on a consistent basis though. Lewis is a relentlessly consistent performer, he delivers results even when the odds are against him and creates opportunities. Prime example is Spain this year, he went and won that race, it was Max’s for the taking, anyone else in the car and he would have done. Max is pretty consistent himself these days though so it would be an interesting battle for sure.

Lewis Hamilton sux at hard circuits he just like to win and talk at easy circuits because he knows his car is still faster when it matters.
