Dan saying it was the highest hockey game was obviously exaggerating but it got me curious, and it seems there were some games that went up to 18 or 19 points but no higher, so both teams adding up to 22 points could very well be the highest. Bonus fact: the biggest difference in score was between the Detroit Red Wings and the NY Rangers back in 1944, which ended 15-0... ouch (could be wrong tho, this is what I found after a short research)

It gets a lot crazier when you look into international hockey, the largest I've found is 82-0 between Slovakia and Bulgaria in the women's tournament, and 92-0 between South Korea and Thailand in under 18. I recall reading about Canada putting up triple digit numbers back when hockey was still played outside at that level, but I can't find anything to back that up, they did manage 32-0 against Switzerland in 1924 though.

Because Danny stated how rare it is for a game to score this high, I looked it up so you don't have to. The highest scoring game on record was played on Jan. 1, 1920 by the Montreal Canadiens vs. Toronto St. Patricks with the Canadiens scoring 14 and the St. Patrick's scoring 7.

My brother died 2 weeks ago. Tried to get him into Game Grumps ages ago, because he had nothing left in life. Barely any vision, no walking, mostly at home, etc. Sadly it didn't stick. Now it's being debated if he either killed himself because of his heart surgeries with no future, he passed away naturally (too many red flags the way his apartment was left behind), or if there was foul play involved. He just recently started learning English, too. He asked me how to best learn it. Oh well. Merry belated Christmas, everybody. And have a happy new year.
