I haven't played the update much, but right off the bat my favorite change is the grapple reticle. It's a lot thinner and it seems to move between points a LOT smoother. So much less distracting then it was before.

And also the grapple hook it self is smaller now like the e3 version its not as thick which I love but the only problem I have is the color of it why green out of all colors why not black or white black can match all colors because it’s neutral and white or even grey wouldn’t hurt

If you like an extremely washed out black and white looking game then go right ahead but all of us want the original gritty back because it looked just like e3 2018 and it fit the game better until you look at the vegetation it looked literally like brown shit but other than that it looked amazing but the gritty and dark is just the exact same thing except when it’s morning time in game it was gritty and dark but when it became evening it turned into the normal gritty and the images of the filters don’t represent what they look like for example the regular gritty has the image of the gritty and dark and the gritty and dark has the image of the gritty filter when it came out and looked more black and white and what it looks like now but you know techland it takes them months to fix smaller things like this until the bigger KZbinrs that techland listens to mention that the gritty is broken then it will be fixed but until then we will have to wait a while

I think the gritty filter is just broken right now, because of the lighting and skybox changes maybe. It's as grey as it was when it was released. They fixed it later, and now it got back to being just grey. I really think it's not intentional and will be fixed

I'm in the exact same boat. Feels like a proper sequel now. At launch, this game was so bad, I stopped playing after like 2 hours and never went back. Started a new game yesterday and didn't want to put it down. It gives me the same feel as DL1 now, and I love it!

I hate that theres too many volatiles, i know its part of the game, but you can't have a good time or at least a good chase without 4 volatiles ripping you apart

Sounds like a skill issue tbh, I can comfortably keep a chasing going for minutes on end, maybe you just need to get better at parkour.

@@James_Randal i am not an expert in dying light to me the parkour feels a bit clunky, so i am not playing on hard difficulty, i think that not every rooftop supposed to have a volatile, even dying light 1 had less of em. And in DL2 you actually have things to do at night unlike DL1 so it kinda ruin the experience, i feel like its a split between people that like it and people that not.

I know and no it’s not a skill issue you just think your better than everyone else you don’t realize that new players have to deal with insta spawning volatiles and it makes the night experience very boring and not dynamic like the first game and it takes the scaryness out of it because if you know exactly where there gonna Be then it wouldn’t be scary whatsoever but in the first game they were very unpredictable and they didn’t teleport all around you and it made night time risk reward and they weren’t in places they shouldn’t like in dl2 and new players have deal with teleporting insta spawning volatiles all around them and when you start the game volatiles are pretty much invincible and they pretty much one shot you so ya it’s easy for max level players to go out at night and kill volatiles with no effort because boosters op weapons and player level so no it’s not a skill issue it’s a game issue and it’s your issue for being a dick

There’s also another change, the missions where you have to track something down by following footsteps, the footsteps are now less visible which makes it harder to track, and can get you lost.

Idk if you mentioned it in ur last vid or not. But aslo the design of some of the metro safe houses are also changed. Gives it a more makeshift feel to the safezones too. Its a nice change, rather than seeing the same metro interior all the time

i played game on release and it was great following game to the og. after like 3 months i deleted it from my pc cuz it was occupying like 90+gb of space after 2nd year update i reuploaded the game and it improved hella lot compared to release. If I’m not mistaken the rifle sold in the store, the volkatronix redux, is basically the exact same as the rifle blueprint you could get in the dying light 1 retrowave bundle. Now that I think about it, both the rifle and the free bundle itself are very similar to the dying light 1 bundle.

yep they're basically the same thing, just much improved in dying light 2, which is probably why the main bundle is free. I'd personally recommend the gun too tho it's really fun and cheap if u don't wanna grind for a rifle

I think there's potentially rare reload animations for reloading guns. I experienced a handgun reload where aiden rolls the pistol.
