I enjoyed it. Thank you. It was nice to watch someone with my level of skill succeed. I hope you make some more things. Also, it was interesting to hear your reaction to the mitre saw. I may gamble my fingers...

Miter saw is not too bad at all, it’s the table saw that makes me nervous 😅 Thank you so much the feedback hope to see you in the comment section on my next build :)

Hi Mr Drapela, I wonder if you guys, as a production shop, let the wood acclimate in your shop (even weeks like conventional wisdom says). And when you mill the wood to the desirable thickness do you mill it multiple times with a day in between ( 3 times at least, bigger milling in the first mill, like the conventional wisdom says)? I know this question is not so relevant to this vid but Im extremely curious! And there are sources say production shop dont let wood acclimate Thanks in advance! A fan, same age as you, for more than 2 years

I do let wood acclimate in my shop, but it’s because I don’t use it for a while, typically I’m making panels with them so whenever I glue them up I’m putting moisture into the wood anyways via the glue. My biggest trouble is that I am close to the ocean so I have high humidity, but I shop products all over the USA so do I let it acclimate to my weather at a certain humidity, then ship it to someone in the desert? What happens to the product when it gets there? So personally I think for bigger projects it’s important to let it sit in your shop for a bit to let the wood do its thing, but be mindful of where the end result is going. And if your making panels out of it you’re already putting moisture back in the wood via glue.

@@cutting-it-close Thank you for your detailed sharing! appreciate it! I totally forgot the PVA can introduce moisture, very good point as well as the product end place! I read that acclimating wood only use is to minimize its movement while you work with it. Have to do the experiment myself to see if its true. I also watched that you have a AC room for storage so the product will be okay when it gets to the user. Just one more question :D As a production shop I reckon you had rush order and use them straight off the rail, do you notice anything different? I guess not This question seems repetitive but im gathering data to understand wood more as a production shop. Really grateful! Im 27 as well and started my own cnc woodworking tiny biz after quitting my job 3 years ago, partially because of you as a inspiration!
