This makes me sad so it does.. Me and a friend used to have this car literally sitting out the back of his place and used to rally the shite out of it.. Pure blagarded it, used to go up to the local garage and put about 2 pound of petrol in it, he'd be sitting on the roof while I was doing hand breakers.. Im pretty sure we bet the car with hurleys and left it in the ditch.. We were no more than 15,16 at the time.. We had one of these, plus an opel kadet C and the first gen fiesta the boxy fella.. All used as pure anger managment .. If only somebody from the future had stopped us and said hold on a minute there lads, these 3 cars will be worth a fortune in 25 years...

Same here, I'm from New Zealand, thinking back to all the classic old cars that myself and my friends bought for next to nothing or even sometimes got for free when we were in our late teens and early 20's (30 plus years ago) then just abused and wrecked, a lot of the cars we destroyed or just abandoned when they died are worth around $100k now, if you can find them, even in terrible unrestored condition.

Bro runs one of these as a hill climb car with a Suzuki 1300 GTi twin cam, Quaife 6 speed sequentail and big hairdryer hanging off it. Large carbon fibre rear wing, glass boot n doors and an alloy diffuser. It goes well poking out just under 300 horse.
