Thanks pat, no not really I have a few different set ups they all have different jobs, I’ve a casting rod for my shads and a jerkbait rod, I use the two of them the most. Both savage gear rods. Sg4 power trigger and sg2 jerk, and the reels are Abu revo beast and okuma Serrano. I have more fishing gear than sense, tend to stick with my favorites for most of the year tho.

How far behind the plainer boards are you trolling the line threws lad?

I let them out very fat man, maybe 80/100 feet, I get them down too about 22ft ✌️

Normally depends on which lures I’m using, for the large swimbaits around 2mph, sometimes speeding up a small bit when turning can get them to commit to biting 👌

What is your Choice of line when trolling?

Hi, I used to use 20lb mono for years when trolling for pike, the stretch in the mono allowed for losing less fish when they shook the head, but nowadays i use my casting rods which have 88lb whiplash braid, I try to keep the rod tip down in the water to try stop the pike from coming too the surface and head shaking
