I was reared in the small town of Winnsboro South Carolina. My mother took us the Baptist church about two blocks from our house. She sang in the choir from the age of 16 until she no longer was able to live alone. I think she stopped singing in the church in her early 70's. Back in those days, she sang on Sunday morning and Sunday evening and practice on Wednesday evening. When she passed in 1992 at her funeral service, the church was full. My daddy used to ask her whey she went to everybody's funeral that she knew. She would tell him that she wanted a big crowd at her funeral. The pastor told those at her funeral he did not know Mrs. Marjorie that long but he had never seen anyone that knew the words to the second verse of every song in the Baptist Hymnal. When I listen to you play, I think so much about my mother and saying to myself, I bet my mama knows that song. By the way, while riding in the funeral car to the cemetery, we rode down Main Street of Winnsboro. You could see when we made the turn to the cemetery back down Main Street, at least half mile. You could not see the end of the cars going to the cemetery. I guess in the end, my mama got her wish. A large crowd. Amen

please pray for our son , he's been fighting Lukemia the past 2 years ! he was able to go to his son's graduation ( thank God for that! but now has been admited in the Cancer hospital for high liver problems , praying God give the doctors wisdom in the treatments and for Healing ! thanks for your prayers! and thsnks for shareing your beautiful hymns & music , Hod Bless you !

Natalie, so wonderful for you to put in a plug for Susan Burgess and Briley. You and Susan are my favorite piano players and seem like family after 3 years of watching you guys. I watched Susan instead of Briley after you but checked Briley at the Bench right after and the live stream wasn’t showing. He hasn’t posted on KZbin since Christmas so I would have enjoyed hearing him again. Enjoyed your duets last year so much. Your children are so adorable as is their aunt. Thank you so much for playing these beautiful songs! I have to tell you that you were such a comfort to me as I awaited brain surgery in February. Your words about your friend’s trials touched me. I rejoiced with you today when you told of the answered prayer in their lives! I DID ask the Lord for “songs in the night” and He graciously gave them! I’m doing well now and give Him all the glory! 29:34 I loved what you said in this video about keeping Him first, continually through the day. Two comments. My youngest daughter who is probably a couple of years older than you Natalie and has children in the same order and approximate age did piano as a kid. She used to get into trouble for not trimming her nails. You debunk that theory. Secondly as an Australian I sometimes get asked what do we do for July four? Well the answer is nothing, it is not our national day but I hope you really enjoy the day as it is yours. Love the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Well, my nails are very short actually! :) I just have a french manicure painted on them, which gives them the allusion of being longer! Pianists can't have long nails and play very well. :)
