Evening in the village of Bol (island of brac, Croatia)

We travel on a wonderful Sunny Croatia!

Bol (Horw. Bol) is a village and the eponymous municipality on the island of brac in Croatia, administratively related to the split-Dalmatia County. One of the most popular resorts of the Adriatic. A population of 1647 people in the village and 1661 people including the village of Murvica, which together with the Ball is the community.
The name Bol comes from the Latin word "vallum", meaning fortifications or strong points.

Brac (Horw. Brač, ital. Brazza, lat. Brattia) is an island in the Adriatic sea, in southern Croatia, near the Dalmatian coast.
It has a population of 14 thousand. the largest towns of Supetar, Pučišća (Pučišća), Bol (Bol), Sutivan (Sutivan), Sumartin (Sumartin), Selca (Selca), etc. Supetar is located in the Northern part of the island opposite split, Pučišća in the North-Eastern part, Bol - on the South coast, Sutivan is on the North-West, Sumartin and Selca - on the East.
From the neighboring Islands of brač sea channel is separated from the island of Hvar - Hvarski channel, from O. šolta - Split the Strait gate, and from the coast - Brac channel. The island is connected with mainland by ferry lines Supetar - Split, Sumartin - Makarska. From Bol, Jelsa on the island of Hvar goes a passenger hydrofoil.
After the First world war, the island of brač became part of Yugoslavia. After the collapse of the latter in 1990, the island became part of independent Croatia.
Island of brac is known for its mild Mediterranean climate, sandy and pebble beaches, pine groves and beautiful landscapes, making it an attractive resort.
The special glory of the island brought the stone quarries near the town of Pučišća, which is rich white "brac stone", which is a special limestone white color. Brac stone is lined with many famous buildings around the world, among others the Palace of Diocletian in split and the White house in Washington.
Of famous brac stone also made crafts that serve tourists Souvenirs. The main occupation of the local population and tourist service, fishing, viticulture, olive oil production, extraction and processing brac stone.

Our route for 7 days traveling in Middle Dalmatia:
"Moscow - airport Split - Trogir - Split - Hvar - island brac (Bol and Sumartin) - Makarska - Brela - Baska Voda - Makarska Riviera - Biokovo (top of St. George) - Omis - Split airport - Moscow"

Спасибо Вам за ваши видео. Были в Трогире до 16 сентября 2017 в отпуске. Совершили несколько поездок вокруг: Шибеник, Сплит, Брела, Хвар с посещением Стари Града. Бол видели, когда возвращались из Хвара в Сплит. Там был такой закат... Словами не передать. Хотелось бы Вам их показать...
