Varugalamo and Jambupathe takes the listener to another world. Just brilliant - Sri TMK along with the magic of RKS sir's violin and Arun sir's percussion.

the Tamil bit took me on another train of thought, which is, which is better ? a sentence sung with that much elongation twice or thrice, so u choose the abstract meaning for yourself or listen to a upanyasam, where they mix stories for every line they sing ?

Well said, Vasantha Rao. This varugalamo is life changing. Things slow down and look more serene and beautiful. Very therapeutic. The lyrics, the natural naichyAnusandhanam in it, the ragam, the viLamba kaalam, the voice, the accompaniments... Man! We are so blessed to be able to listen to this.

I also refer to Vallur Cheenu's comment. I do not think he is such a great man to comment such an unwanted comment. There might be people who would be commenting about Mr Vallur Cheenu's personal matter and his way of life. According to learned people, one would only reflect his way. He must know how to appreciate the people who have talents and only be appreciating the good work and talent of any person, the person who is commenting will reflect his own good nature and definitely not like Mr Vallur Cheenu. People should give him a good rebounce so that he stops such unnecessary, unwanted comment which is not at all expected.

The chavukka kalam in bharavi is good, but let TMK not think, he can be another MDR. This youngster paces his singing according to his will & moreover edited verson, which makes a sr.listener like me get irritated.. I don't why this younster is eccentric, inspite having talent. There can be only one eccentric musician, that was Mali, his antics too were also brilliant in the midst a wonderful rendition of flute kutcher. Everyone enjoyed it. But this man is not mali, his eccentricities irritates us.
@SaiKrishna-pw1pr8 жыл бұрын
Sir, you have to shed some old age and become young! please help youngster define things for the future
Hi Vallur Cheenu. Why do you assume Sri T M Krishna thinks he can be another MDR? He never said any such thing. I have been attending concerts for more than sixty five years. That certainly makes me a very senior listener. (I am 72 years old.) His music and singing never irritated me. Why do you say his music irritates senior listeners like you? On the contrary, I consider his music celestial. His singing is Karnaamritam! It is divine. Just as MDR is MDR, there was no one like him, TMK is TMK, there is no one like him. The only man who can sing like him is perhaps Narada himself, no one else. During Sri TMK's concerts, I have felt "ananda" and shed copious tears. He sings with bhaava. Few vocalist now a days bring tears to my eyes. I treasure his concerts, and the joy I feel at his concerts linger for days, and his alapanas dance in my head when I cook, do laundry, eat dinner and go to sleep. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania
