Evening Talk: ‘Historic Shopfronts of Ayrshire’

In our 5th online talk historic shopfront specialist and historian, Dr Lindsay Lennie delivered a zoom presentation looking at the architecture and history of traditional shopfronts, with a particular focus on Maybole and surrounding Ayrshire. The talk discussed the use of traditional materials including ceramic tiling and the widely recognised James Duncan examples which were salvaged from the Co-op butcher’s shop and are now on display in our great town of Maybole.
