Your scones look a lot like Southern style biscuits in the US. Both are delicious. It’s much cooler and rainier here. We usually average 100 degrees C this time of year but it hasn’t even got up to 90 this spring. Enjoyed this look at your evening ❤️

Hi Rhonda, I love the way we have different names for the same things. Scones are really yummy, but I think the biscuits tend to be savoury? Is that right, scones are mainly to use with sweet fillings, though you can make cheese scones xxx

Vanilla & Canela southern biscuits don’t traditionally have sweetener or any flavorings added to them. At breakfast, we eat them hot with butter and jelly or jam. They are also served with cream gravy on top, and sometimes as sandwiches with eggs or breakfast meats inside. From reading recipes, I think your scones and our biscuits are almost the same except you usually make scones with butter and cream. Biscuits are usually made with shortening or lard or butter and then milk or buttermilk. They all seem very delicious 😋

Hi Liliana You video came just on time as ive just cleaning my oven 😔 and was due a sit down and coffee. It is freezing cold we lit a fire last night which sent me to sleep lol. Im hoping this wet yuk weather picks up next wk. Paul and Alex looked in their element playing sooooo lovely to see.
