The village looks so cute from this side of the bridge. Has anybody ever come out of their house to ask what you were doing? It's so quiet that you can hear crickets chirping.

It is a very picturesque village, probably why it's so popular. I've had a couple people ask what I'm doing in other villages, and they've enjoyed my explanation. Before starting this channel I spent many years traveling the countryside by car and bicycle taking photos and whatnot. People are almost always friendly and interested to talk to me, especially in places tourists don't go. This village is a tourist hotspot so nobody came to talk to me, but I did have some brief chats with local shop owners before walking.

The grasses were lovely at the start of your film they are so elegant. How lovely to see inside some of the homes with all the warm wood, the lighted village was so heartwarming, it always reminds one of family and warmth and happiness. I thank you so much for your hard work with your filming. 💐 And it was great to see the old telephone box and the red post box too! I didn’t realise that Japan had bears until our films. Do they venture into the villages even though there is a fence, perhaps it is electrified? Poor bears would get a sharp shock if they try to break through. I was in Czechoslovakia many years ago now when I was young and the brown bears would come down to rummage in the large village refuse bins. ☺️😘

The fence has a few gates to access a short trail that leads to a lookout point slightly above the village, and the fence isn't electrified. There is no fence on the road or the river running parallel to the village, so I imagine bears could get in from time to time. I asked a local if there were any trails further up the mountains for a higher view of the village and I was advised against going into the mountains due to bears...and the lack of trails😄 Those Czech brown bears must have been a sight! The variety here are black bears, so theoretically a bit smaller and more shy.

@@ambient_explorationI’m certainly glad I never came upon any bears although I used to make as much noise as possible if I had to visit the bins, even singing!😂 The forests were so dense where we were near the border with Germany it was easy to get lost and consequently end up near the border which in those days was much more scary than the bears!😂😊

A beautiful video! The village of Kayabuki no Sato at dusk, with its traditional thatched roofs and warm lights, creates an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. Even though the clouds hid the moon a bit, the village radiates a special calm - almost magical! Thank you for this enchanting glimpse into a quiet night in Kyoto. Best wishes from @nami-vlog 🌍💜💜💜👍

Simply calming, beautiful village, and a safe place for evening walk. Did you use two cameras for this including one mounted on the head? Just wonder. L417

Thank you, and sorry about the auto aperture distractions. This was such a dark scene, but with bright lights on the buildings, so choosing a manual exposure wouldn't really be possible. I will continue experimenting and hopefully find a better approach for these extreme low light situations. Thanks again.
