Love love love the kingfisher! I have yet to get a sharp photo of the dive! They fish frequently at a local wetland, but the sun is directly behind their favorite perch. That’s one of my wishlist shots! Also on the wishlist is a monster prime lens! 😊

Kingfishers are tough. They are very skittish and you often just need to sit and wait for them. They are definitely worth the wait though. A Prime lens is always nice to have! Thanks for watching.

Another great video Todd. Nice to see the Wood Ducks - kind of figured they would flush - they spook so easily unless you are very well hidden.

Thanks for watching! Yes I was not in a good spot and they flew in. It was just a matter of time before they flew off again!

I really enjoyed the video! This spring and summer I'm going to try to photograph some birds around the Cape Cod area (now that I have the 180-600 Z lens). While Sparrows, Robins, and Seagulls are common here, I'm looking forward to find / photograph some different types of birds, like the interesting ones seen in this video. This gives me hope that I’ll find something in New England that’s different than a Seagull or Sparrow! 😂😊

Thanks for watching! That’s a great lens to be see and photograph a bunch. The cape code area can be really rich with different species. I would suggest going to areas around water, that’s always a great spot to find a lot hanging out in a relatively small area especially once temperatures warm up. Things are starting to migrate north!

Great video, thanks. I wonder how many stills you can take in a sequence before the buffer stutters. I own a Sandisk Extreme Pro CFexpress Type B card and withn 3 seconds the buffer stutter when I took 20fps losless raw. I also want to know what settings you use for the video as I always use a ND filter.

Thanks for watching! You had me wondering so I tested it out, looks like the buffer fills at about the 3 to 3 and a half second mark 20 fps at RAW. I've never noticed and issue with it before as I tend not to hold down the stuffer that long unless there is some specific action sequence. I did find that if I let off the shutter even for a slight moment, the buffer refilled and I could go about taking images indefinitely with slight pauses every few seconds. Hope that helps!
