I don't think an individual needs to do a degree for Event Management.
Personal opinion - Get a internship or entry level job at an event management company all you need to learn is practical/Operational stuff.There's no theory of event management to learn.Rather than that go for an MBA in strategy or Marketing. this way you'll not constrain yourself & your horizon will be wide enough. Getting an Event management degree will only narrow your career path.

depends on the company's payout and the caliber of the candidate, few of my frnds are working with the manager through NDIEM, eventually me and my frnds are pursuing the degree from NDIEM institute in delhi and i am doing the internships also.

This career is safe and many women are a part of it, I remember in my batch there were many girls so dont worry about that. your pay will depend on the course you do and company internship offer. you can call the institute for more information
