I think when you're in it, your judgement gets clouded, fourth is still very good! You had gorgeous rides, Jam was fabulous. I think Mum and Han are quite hard on you, not entirely justifiably. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and most riders would be hard pressed to ride as successfully as you.

You’re wrong - it’s not ‘so frustrating’ watching - it’s inspiring to see you and a fit, well prepared pony go round all phases safely and without injury and looking classy. It helps us to see the prep we’d need to do and the care we’d need to take to do the same. If we were only watching for wins and speed, we’d be watching the Olympians on huge horses. 🤔

Don't be so hard on yourself! You and Jammie did a hell of a job in all three phases, especially the dressage looked so good and consistent, you produced an absolute superstar pony! All that kept you from winning was a little confusion with the time, and I think you've really learnt your lesson on that now😂 at least this way it won't happen at Badminton!😂

Has Hobbit competed in eventing? Could you get yourself a stopwatch for cross country that beaps every minute? I know several other cross country vlogers who use them. Also is there any way you could get your lorry license? In terms of your day, one negative is you went a little slower than the course time. Positives, you and Jam came home safe and sound, she had a confidence boosting round, you aced the dressage, which is the most difficult part to ace as it is about precision and correctness of horse and rider. You have a great pony who you have worked through all the glitches with. My point is don't beat yourself up over your decision to go slower, there is no guarantee you would have been clear if you had gone faster. Onwards and upwards Meg.

You don't need an HGV license to drive a 7.5 ton horsebox. You can drive it easily on your car license. You have to be 18 years old to be insured to drive one.

Oh Meg, I feel for you! I used to be so good at managing my time and then I went through a period of going to fast or too slow It is actually harder than it seems. More so on a bit of a casual horse! It does make it harder that no one will understand how annoyed with yourself you are and how crappy it is to have to share it on a vlog where you’ve literally had the win in hand! On a plus- you KNOW you easily can win and really this run was for confidence so just work on going at xc pace and you’ll be better and better. Step back up and nail it xx
