Hi Max! Just happy you are reacting again to Morissette’s quarantheme musicals... I am just in awe of this young lady’s vocal dexterity .. I am simply amazed by her seemingly effortless singing and her ability to portray raw emotions....I am patiently waiting for her to go global ( which I believe someday will happen ) .. I reside in Canada and I pray that someday I will hear her on our local radio station and be listening to her everyday singing...please react again to the rest of her quarantheme performances... I simply cant wait to listen to your detailed analysis and your unbiased opinion of her performances...

Another emotional and superb performances from the one and only Asia’s Phoenix . As usual great reaction from you Max. Spontaneous as usual. Luv it ! 👏👍❤️ Btw, the character got pregnant and the man can’t love her. When the waitress sang this she’s rubbing her bulging tummy on stage...and belting this song full of mixed emotions telling the audience what kind of a girl she used to be.

This girl just doesn't sing the song, she is the song, she is that person she is singing about, she is the best on the planet and will be for a long time, give her any song, any genre and just delivers every everytime, she's just a vocal genius and performance genius, I am 62yrs of age, I have never come anything that compares with this girl and I have listened to a lot of music and watched concerts and theatre concerts but this girl is pure magnetism, words actually fail me every time I listen to her.
@jamesmcnutt91694 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Im 52 and I think Im losing my mind over this girl? Ive never felt music like this? How? I feel like I'm being taken over by her while she is singing! I've never heard anything like this! She is the actual person? So am I ? So are you I guess. Amazing. What a gift to have found her.

I am getting choked up, listening to your - and her - reminiscences about live stage productions. I did a great deal of musical and non-musical shows when I was younger, and I miss it terribly. Not a trained singer, and not a "professional" voice by any means, but I was kick-ass in the chorus and could harmonize like nobody's business. : ) This song is also a bit hard to bear, considering the feeling and the context. [dang, now I'm crying...]
@fredkelly69534 жыл бұрын
Mori is the better singer but the pain in this song makes that secondary. It is her ability to bring out the emotions this song conveys which make it so heartbreaking. This song is a tragedy and yet I can't look away. I too like the original but where it felt like Sara wrote the song and knew the words Mori understood them.
@jamesmcnutt91694 жыл бұрын
She growl squeaks????????? Who the hell does that??? Its not fair. I stand no chance against this girl. Jelly everytime. Sarah wrote a spectacular song and Mori interprets it in the most emotional way it can be delivered. Sarah would agree.

I loved the susceptible sound of her voice when she is sad and the power when she is angry at herself. Interpreted very well. Her voice is beautiful, crystal clear and just heart-wrenching in this song. I like the placement of her jaw to achieve the sound she wants. I really liked your comments Max.

Most of the times, Morissette's renditions or covers of a certain song makes me understand the song more because she always delivers a song with the right emotions and expressions. This one is soooo beautifully sang...and your reaction has always been wonderful and honest..which makes me even more appreciate the song she sings..Thank you..stay safe..😊🙏

I truly wish you would react to Someone Like You. This is not the Adele song but rather, a song from the musical, Jekyll & Hyde. I've asked, on several channels for the voice coaches, singers, etc. to react, over a week ago and so far, no one has. I'm not sure how requesting a song works, but I really would like for someone, who's vocally knowledgeable, to hear Morissette's cover. I found it mesmerizing and moving. Much like She Used To Be Mine made me feel. Please let me know, in a notification, what you think. She blew me away on Someone Like You (the video I'm referring to is the one in which she's NOT playing piano, but just singing). I could simply be biased as I so love Ms. Amon's incredible vocals. Thank you, Sir, in advance. (here is the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpyommqYf5eVqKs

Very emotional and expressive performance by Morissette. You feel the pain she's communicating in the song. So good. Thanks for the nice analysis, Max!
@phillippalana41434 жыл бұрын
I love how you dissect the nuances and angst felt by the singer (Morissette) and in turn the emotional wallop that she delivers by listening to her. And you're right! Not only does Morissette hit the right notes and deliver a flawless performance but also Morissette tells a story through a song and the viewer has no choice but react emotionally to it. That's what separates Morissette from the other seasoned and professional singers here in the Philippines and abroad. Thank you for your thought-provoking and heartfelt reaction!

This was the best breakdown I have seen of this performance by miles! It's been on my list to watch. I saved it until I had time to give it my undivided attention (6am on a Monday lol). I hung on your every word. You really deserve to be swimming in subsribers because there is not another reactor with your style period! I cosign your every word here! Someone posted this performance on Instagram. The Offical page for the musical "Waitress" found it and gave it a like! Enough said, when it comes to the question of did she do Sarahs incredible song justice. Something unexpected has happened to Morissette (long story short) fans started requesting her to be on an MTV show about 3 weeks ago! (We're talking MTV USA the original network here in the states) She was added to the voting two weeks ago because of the demand, one week later she appeared at number 1 , but due to a snafu with getting the rights to her music videos she wasn't able to debut. One more week of voting insanity, and not only did she regain the number 1 spot but she ended up being debuting at number 1, something that had never happened on that show. In Essence, her name is spreading into global spaces and rightly so! MTV is huge! The fight continues this week! The exposure is priceless. I wanted to ask if possible you could pin a comment on her reaction here with information on how to vote for her this week. (I'd provide the info) every bit helps😉! This was an outstanding talkthough analysis ! Thank you again for having Morissette on your channel!

Her EFFECTIVE INTERPRETATION........you hit the nail on the head. 👍🏼 Plus when you said that you are now drawn into the song and the story more than the way that she's singing, which is there to make you FEEL the song. This is really a good explanation to those who do not personally know this song. The emotions that this song has are so heavy already but with Morissette's version of this song, for me, the emotions felt heavier and more snaring. Mori is really a subtle and as if when she begin to sing she was on the scenario of the grieving woman or as what the song is meant to be. I can’t explain how she bring color in her voice I can feel it but can’t explain I don’t know she’s really different
