Love the molds and the glossy resin. I have made bottle cap coasters and they sold well. I will be making the tray with the bottle caps. Thank you for all the great ideas.

I love the bottle cap idea. I once took a desk I had from high school and covered all the drawer Fronts with labels from import beer bottles I used clear silicone to adhere them to the front. Boyfriend love that I ended up letting him have it when we parted ways! Just started watching your channel I'm getting so many great ideas from KZbin. I just started trying out resin arts, just bought molds etc I already had a lot of mica powders from pouring. The two bottles I bought I hadn't used and they were almost expired so I've been having fun creating different stuff and I'm definitely going to try that polished Rock the small stuff like they put in fish tanks and I have tons of those different colored glasses different shapes Marvel's etc I'm going to try out in resin too! Thank you for taking the time to do this!

I only started working with resin about a month ago, but I'm already considering making things other people want... If only because the things I make are starting to take up too much space. I've only used UV so far, but I'm having entirely too much fun with it to move to 2 part... for now..😂

I primarily use UV also, when I tried 2 part epoxy I found I had a hard time waiting for them to cure 🤣 Instant gratification has spoiled many people 😝

They look great. Have you seen the kettles on a stand that allow the person to easily tip the kettle to pour? A similar stand would be great for pouring the resin. The white sand in the seashell soap holder would have looked good as well.

I am so excited to see this procedure for saving feathers! It is something I have wanted to do for some time - I love feathers and to draw and paint feathers on things. Methodically drawing scales, fins, feathers, pineapple, old curly phone cords and things like that. Also excitedly I just acquired some peacock feathers that are sentimental belonging to great grandma. I will experiment before I use in project - but this will be an awesome thing to incorporate into a gift for a family member. Thank you so much for sharing this with me and the public! I just love feathers and they can get dusty or end up eaten by a pet cat (lol) I think putting in a resin coaster or something along those lines is a great idea.

I bought a resin set that had 2 one liter bottles, when those were close to being used up I bought the 2 gallon kit of the same resin and now i just fill the one liters and use them as they are much lighter. Definitely must give these a try, I have the molds already, just need the feathers.

It sounds like you got a allergic reaction from resin
@stsfuzzybear46134 ай бұрын
@@DRNAre you using predominantly UV resin? Some people Who do are getting reactions, not from the resin but from too much contact with the UV light. They use gloves. But regular ones don’t keep out UV light. Try the black opaque 11:41 gloves. And protect your skin from any UV light. Including the sun. It all adds up.
@DRN4 ай бұрын
@@stsfuzzybear4613 I was answering @beaswingle9065 But I do work with UV resin as I do 3D printing, and more, I have always been working safe, but I have seen people getting reactions to resin
@Nirrrina4 ай бұрын
I accidentally got resin on my arms too & had an itchy reaction. Get some hydrocortisone cream &/or Benadryl cream. Or you could take an allergy pill like Benadryl. But if you're messy like I am getting some arm guards to protect you from the resin. They're reusable & will keep any resin off your skin from where the gloves end to your elbows or higher. You definitely don't want to get uncured resin on your skin because it will cause you to itch. If you do get some on scrub really hard to get it off as soon as you can. Repeated exposure can lead you to develop an allergy to resin that can get pretty bad. So be careful. Steve has a couple of older videos on the basics & how to avoid things like this.
@beaswingle90654 ай бұрын
@@Nirrrina i’m not getting resin on me. I don’t know why I’m breaking out like this. It was this other resin I got I think I’m allergic to it. It smells real bad and it stays in my nose and mouth. I cannot describe. I never had resin do that , and wear a mask and gloves andlong sleeves
