Brother they literally have the same uppercut countering air strikes system as Deepwoken too, not only that they also have what are basically wisps in the game, there is so much inspiration it is honestly difficult to miss. This isnt even a surprising either cause the creators last game (Glove game) had Deepwoken's venting mechanic with the visual and all too.

Gs isn’t ass it just requires patience and a more defensive play style unless there is a strength stat that could overpower base defenses or if they made the GS have more of a… not so much a block break but instead of taking 5 hits to block break it’d be more like 3 or 4 for a GS (used in most fighting games so the light weapons are overpowering the heavies because of attack speed)
