Being able to connect is nice but they should’ve made them linkable. Imagine buying two or three of them linking them and playing together was linkable. I could see myself buying two of them.

Cool Capcom Countercade Barcade tabletop Cabinet. Looks good and nice selection of games. I am surprised they didn't design the Marque inserts better so there is no bending or loose inserts. Otherwise, very nice.

Thanks for this, I have been looking at these. I can't say much for the marquee, but I imagine at some point someone will have a mod for those. Evercade is a pretty big name in the UK. There are something like 500 games in total for it. Only problem is only 100 of them are arcade. But since it can do most retro consoles (up to PS1) it make up for it for some folks. One issue is as licensing comes and goes, the carts go out of production though. But it definitely has my interest now thst I have seen it reviewed.

Seems okay for looks but I can't get over dealing with small screens and control panel. I have a few partycades with 17 inch screens that look great. My Defender 40th edition with awesome games is my favorite of the smaller designs. Going with anything smaller than 17 inches would push me to a handheld that could be connected to a large screen TV. My opinion of course. My first 1up was the little space invaders countercade with 7 inch screen. I love it for nostalgia but never actually play it. SIZE DOES MATTER for enjoyment. I've been busy so I got to this video a little late. Keep up the awesome videos, reviews and live streaming. I'll have to join in when you do Simpsons again (yes, I missed that one as well). I really enjoy watching your videos due to your personality and how I feel you're including/talking to us. Thank you and have a Happy Holidays.

With the ever are cartridges it’s a nice system although the screen could be slightly bigger while maintaining the cabinet’s size.

They're not up to some of the quality of the cart/built in games (IMO) but there is 9 "hidden" games built in based on button presses and a secret codes section. You also get a monthly game with updates. But I do agree with all your points on it and have the Megaman and home console. Im hoping the SNK deal for them means carts and not just another countertop (though that is cool too) because i was a little bummed the games were built in and not a cart i could use on my larger screen with my console evercade. And online play would be great, but given the lack of an ethernet port, i could see issues arrise from that, especially with fighting games. Still the option would be nice. The console doesnt have ethernet cable either. My knocks aside, its a scrappy little thing i adore and highly suggest the Duke Nukem 1+2 cart as it's an enhanced version of the original dos game and feels so much more playable to modern standards vs the original.

Thanks for the review. If you contact the company they would probably replace the marquees that were damaged. They probably want to know that the packaging system has a flaw as well.

I like mine. Got the Sanwa controls and branded controller edition. Day and night compared to arcade 1up. Even Tate games are great on it. Monitor has good color contrast.

I wish microcenter would sell those diy Bartop Arcades featuring raspberry pi. I think they used to sell them 4 years ago and the artwork on them was nice. Not sure how much it costed

Problem with that would likely be the price, i think they want it affordable because if they blew it up to the size of a regular cabnet would likely require a redesign especially if you want to keep the cartridge functionality as well as the components would likely have to use actual cabnet parts which would be expensive. Don't get me wrong, a large arcade cabnet that runs off tiny cartridges would be awesome i just don't know if Blaze would want to gamble that when the tiny ones are cheaper to produce

@PDX7 I mean this would depend on if Blaze would want to do this, given how they seem to go through the various different eras of consoles I wouldn't be surprised if their next endeavor would be to tackle cd based games with a hybrid that would play new cd based games as well as the Evercade cartridges, that way they can tackle the bigger games, or potentially make it be able to play modern games while keeping the functionality to play the Evercade cartridges

Great Review!! I did not pick one up since even with the small form factor I am running out of space . My biggest concern is with no deck protector that control panel is going to rub away like the original arcade 1up . How does the material feel on that control panel ?

7:02 if you notice the control panel left screw cap there's already chipping in the artwork albeit small. I would think that the artwork will damage over time.

Hey Phil! Thanks for your honest review. The marquees 11:43 look really bad man. I can't believe they put them in envelopes and somehow they're bent on the right. It's really noticeably bowing out to the right 12:05 . 6:51 you didn't notice the left screw cap cover artwork is a little chipped. Not a big deal but for the price you're paying for these things new these shouldn't be damaged in any way. Also on the side art top right screw cover there's chipping 7:58 Ok so final verdict these are currently $250 before tax. Absolutely overpriced. There's no hdmi out or online play which renders the beat em ups and fighting games useless. Those marquee (except megaman) are an absolute disgrace with the bowing on the plastic cover. I paid $80 for my nba jam countercade from Target last year. These are over three times the price. I just don't see the value in what you're paying for it. You can pay $9 for all those beat em ups right now on the switch and they're all online multiplayer. Thanks for the review man!

Hi Mikey, in their defense not sticking up for them at all each cap has a little hole in them so we can pop them out. But I made the left side worse lol The marquees are the biggest disappointment they should’ve just left it with one. If they improve down the road I’ll be interested, but if it wasn’t for KOTR and Final Fight I’d be very disappointed.

this would be a lot more of a winner if the carts werent terrible, the carts are inexpensive at 25, but they hardly have any decent games. forget getting games like nba jam, 1942, ms pac man etc on the carts, you get a bunch of games i never even heard of of very low quality on the carts. one of the carts has pac man (NOT ms pac man) i know that, before someone jumps down my throat) on the unit itself, yeah you get 6 good games (or 6 variations of streetfighter at least) just like an arcade 1up. you might get one game you've heard of on some of the carts. heck if the carts even had one good game at 25 and the rest junk, they'd be worth it to me. but they dont. so, at the end you get the games that come with it, the ability to add a second controller for 2p (this is very nice, and a1up countercades dont have this option), good build quality and good controls (though tbh for the price you should get sanwa imo). so it's still arguably worth it, but imo isnt the slam dunk it appears to be at first due to the poor selection on the carts. if something sound too good to be true, it usually is.
