Love the video, thanks! I have summarized the questions as I find it helpful to write things down (not meant as a replacement fir watching the video, but as an executive summary:) 1. If you knew you couldn't fail, what would you do? 2. How will achieving this goal help you and others around you? 3. What happens if you didn't achieve your goal? 4. What is the smallest first step you can take right now to make progress towards your goals? 5. By saying YES to this, what are you saying NO to? 6. What is really important to you? 7. What are you focusing on today?

Great questions! I especially liked the reminder that there is a clear distinction between pondering the past to get useful info versus processing the past, which might be too time-consuming, and might take time away from future-oriented questions.

Love your perspective, Ajit! You truly are a value add to the coach community. 🤗 A powerful question I like to ask is: What can I/you celebrate about myself/yourself today? I find this useful because we are often too focused on the parts of ourselves we want to improve and it’s nice to shift our attention to ALL the things about us which we can celebrate right now.

what i don t understand is why put some fear ?
@mindvalleycoach4 жыл бұрын
Great question, Mireille! Sometimes clients can have a great goal they want to achieve but don't take actions to make it happen. By bringing awareness to "what would happen if you don't achieve it", which means no progress, being stuck, it can bring them insights on why they want to achieve that goal in the first place and use that little bit of fear (realizing that things won't change) as drive and motivation to encourage action towards their goal. Does this make sense? :)

When you have a client who lacks energy what do you do to keep yourself grounded and authentic?
@mindvalleycoach3 жыл бұрын
Great question, Inge! It's crucial that we, as coaches, take care of ourselves and our own energy before, during, and after a coaching session, so we can be fully present during the session and also be able to "cut the cord" and detach after a session is over. For that, we recommend having a specific routine that works for you: meditation, mindfulness, stretching, breathwork, etc - whichever helps you best manage your energy so a client's negative or low energy doesn't drown you. You can also practice tools to help your client's energy rise and balance it out better. Here are some tools you might find interesting: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pajUdYqOmcd6oZY. Thanks for sharing ❤

'How is that working for you?' seems to get them to reflect on a behavior that is not working. ' What could you try that might better allign with your values and move you toward your goals? ' is always the question I ask myself, but it requires already defining the client's core values and goals for it to work in a coaching context.

That's a great observation and that's exactly what coaching does. Coaches don't tell people the answers, they help them find the answers within themselves. We already have all the information we need inside of us, we just sometimes need someone else to help us see it!
