I’ve just invented the 15&15 rule: anyone who uses Sherpas/porters must ensure they receive more than 15 euros for 15kgs or less per day. This is for Everest only and I have no idea how to incorporate the new trash laws.

.... and many wives and children left wondering if their idiotic spouse/father makes it home so he can work off the huge debt that fed his ego, while they continue to go without because of that debt. Climbing Everest will never be enough for them because of all the work it took to to get there, to climb, 5 minutes on top, descend, and then a week to get home. Right. Sounds like a great bucket list thing to do, a real ego booster for 5 minutes or less and the list of negatives go on and on.

Much respect for the Sherpas. No way am I walking across crevices on ladders and climbing on the cliff’s edge. I think so many people climbing at once adds to the risk and danger. Too many folks on the ropes, also waiting and wasting oxygen.
