Interview with Ev Alvarez, the longest tenured POW at the Hoa Lo prison, (dubbed the "Hanoi Hilton" by its American Prisoners). Over the course of over three hours, he tells the story of his early life, shootdown and imprisonment. Valuable lessons are contained in this story, for those in leadership positions, those coping with failure or guilt, those concerned with what it takes to effectively communicate with peers up and down command chains, those wanting to foster resilience, and those wanting to live honorably in difficult circumstances fraught with moral danger or risks for integrity.

Thank you, CDR Alvarez!! Excellent video; thankful the interviewer pretty much let him talk. Also, they need to correct the spelling of his last name.

Remember reading his book in high school and having just an impact that in the 11th grade I joined the USAF and went straight to bootcamp after graduation.

This man needs to quit apologizing. It’s the interviewing staff who needs to apologize and respect him
