The Everett Railroad Company is a shortline railroad that operates over several miles of track south of Hollidaysburg, PA (near Altoona) in Blair County. Formed in 1954 to take over operation of a section of the Huntingdon & Broad Top Railroad, the railroad now operates lines to Sproul, Claysburg, and Martinsburg, PA and serves several freight customers along the line. However, in addition to freight service, the Everett Railroad has long been involved in the excursion business. Recently, the railroad purchased two steam locomotives: Bath & Hammondsport 2-6--0 #11 and Huntingdon & Broad Top 2-8-0 #38, for restoration to excursion service. In October of 2015, 2-6-0 #11 returned to service, and began a new career hauling trains full of tourists through Blair County. Please enjoy, and check out the Everett Railroad at the website below!
