Very nice review. I have the previous model the T+A PA3000HV with the MC phono card and the MP 3000HV Multi Source / CD player. This is driving a pair of T+A CRITERION TCD 110 S Loudspeakers that are transmission line speakers with a D’Appolito arrangement mid-woofer tweeter design. Incredibly build quality and sound signature that rivals some of the best Swiss gear.

LAN Connection is only for Home automation. Firmware update is done via H-Link connection to MP HV (media player) only, MP does the firmware updates of all HV units connected via HLink. Connecting external power supply, it does not make this unit preamp. It will add literally offboard PSU = lowering noise floor

T+A gear is extremely well-made, high quality audio gear and this looks extremely impressive. What was less impressive was needing to sit through about 8 ad breaks to get through this. Given this is in and of itself a commercial channel promoting Skyfi Audio, don't you think it's a bit excessive to monetise these videos especially with such an aggressive level of in-built ads as this? I don't think I've ever seen a video on KZbin with as many ads.

@@TheNorliss Do you know that using alternative browsers like Firefox on Android phones block ads by default as well? (I think at least Brave as well) Only since more recently, there is one ad at the beginning of videos baked in which cannot be removed. Also, if you maximise the window and then minimise all apps, that will give you an over-layed mini view of the video and allows you to keep watching the video while using other apps. You can also move it around the screen... With the KZbin app, you now have to pay a subscription for that privilege, iirc.

They prolly built that, but it is a rotisserie and you can find ore made for kitchen cabinets, and kitchen accessories etc.

Capacitors next to heat sinks are not done because the capacitors will dry out and fail! One of the first lessons I learned at school. For this price setting that’s a dissapointing design… But what a beautiful transformer indeed!

Review some German RESTEK, they never get out-dated, because they have an upgrade and maintenance program, where e.g. in case of a CD player, they throw out all the old crap and bring it up to date, with whatever that is at the time, measure/replace every component. I have an older pre amp which had a service, and it got the headphone amp retrofitted, which was not a feature upon initial release... they do other special stuff.

@@SkyFiAudio I remember when I was a kid and Gorbatschev came to Germany on state business, the German gov had gifted him a few things to display/promote something from the German industry, obviously, and they gave him a Restek stereo, which I only had a glimpse at for a few seconds on the news. It was the first time I had seen a chrome mirror finish on anything.... They do this thing where all components have the same face plate design, with view for eternal upgradability, and you can choose from like 7 or so finishes, or commission a custom one. If you find a pre-owned component but it does not match your finish, you can have that swapped, and they will even take in your old face plate for cash, if you haven't fucked it up badly...

Looking at most amplifiers with much lower rail voltages and they have frequency responses flat to fractions of a dB. Sorry but I don't agree at all with their reason to go with higher voltages.

Probably not. Like with most technology there is a diminishing return for each dollar spent. Dont think it's about the loudness though, more like how well does it play softly compared to the Emotive.
