Honestly, if everglow had more comebacks and advertized more they would fr get so mich recognition. They are so talented and have so much charisma when performing. I saw them at hallyupopfest in london with my sister and grandparents (who dont like girl groups) and even they were so impressed and mesmerized by everglow. They would make it so big.

The thing is that YueHua sucks at promoting... Everglow has excelent music from title-tracks to B-sides from debut until now, but they lack regular contact with fans: they only make youtube content when they are having a comeback.. as soon as the comeback season ends they desapear from youtube and you onle hear of them weeks after their new comeback... Everglow mostly focus on tours around the world... but in my opinion they should do more promoting in casual shows... Twice not only became famous cuz of their songs, they also did alot of casual content. And last thing is that Everglow hasn't made a full album since debut, and that sucks.... Sorry for my bad english.

BTS, ATEEZ and stray kids are massive because of their constant connection and content, it doesn't allow people to forget about them. @@hailieRobinson the main reason why they aren’t popular mainly in Korea is because their company is a Chinese entertainment company that branched out to Korea, because of this Koreans didn’t like everglow and barely posted articles about them and so on, but they did get more popular internationally. They also lost popularity because they usually take long breaks that are mostly a year long. One of the members Yiren took a break and went back to china to visit her family because she couldn’t see them due to the pandemic, and to also complete some of her academics. Which is one of the reasons for their hiatus. After their ‘Pirate’ release E:U decided to get plastic surgery on her face and usually a full healing process for that is about 1 to almost 2 years for the bloating and marks to fade away, and for the skin to fully heal. which is another reason why everglow had a long break. When you actually look into it they have long breaks because of personal reasons. But yes that’s why they aren’t that popular

@@hailieRobinson fellow youtubers explained it all, but I would add the sad Truth is they WERE very popular during their 3-4 first comebacks, and then they were mismanaged in a way that is still difficult to understand. Many groups were mismanaged, but Everglow might be the worst of them all. The fact that EU was brutally replaced as the leader without any explanation (something that usually never happens) and that she was obviously put on the side since (no rap, few lines, no dance breaks) tells you something didn't work backstage even then. My guess would be that EU acted as a true leader and complained too much about their treatment... And then, the group basically totally disappeared for 2 years (!) again without any official explanation. In the meantime, other groups emerged, like Le Sserafim or New Jeans, and Everglow obviously lost popularity, somehow they appear to be history now, some sort if a 3rd Gen group. This is an amazing waste. Honestly I was disappointed by Pirates and Slay, very generic comebacks, but Zombie slaps. It deserves a lot of success. Issue is, does quality really matters anymore? Status matters much more. In K-pop, if you're once seen as a nugu, it is very difficult to get out of it. And Everglow lost their status.

No skip albums, all visuals, all around talent and great music. everglow music is very promising, imagine the diversity of the music having a darker and strong title track while the b-sides serves different kind of flavors, but still everglow girlies manage to pull off every genre given to them, the versatility is insane. This comeback is huge 10/10, no kpop girl group from this era can pull off this kind of genre, it really suited everglow, no wonder why producers love to make music for them, because everglow’s skill and whole theme is so interesting.

Long blabbing comment and i suggest reading it while streaming but i feel so bad for EVERGLOW, they had such a successful start and had so much potential to be one of the biggest girl groups internationally like ITZY or AESPA, and their mv views, spotify streams, mv likes, and amazing songs that captivate more listeners. Even before they debut they have well known members like Sihyeon and Yiren who kickstarted their success. Everything was good internationally but all they lacked was just domestic success and they kept facing xenophobic comments from koreans hating on Yiren and the fact that they came from a chinese company. And the biggest mistake was PUTTING YIREN on hiatus. They said she will come back in 2 months but she was there for A YEAR. What was Yuehua thinking? Putting a member to their home country will never satisfy koreans and safe to say it didn't work as korean netizens are still attacking Yiren. And she was there FOR A ENTIRE YEAR. That's a death trap in the kpop industry. To give you an example of why this CAUSED EVERGLOW'S popularity to die down hard is because in 2022 - IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NEWJEANS, NMIXX all debuted in that year, not to mention that big groups like TWICE and BLACKPINK. and (G)I-DLE was gaining HUGE popularity and 2022 was just and insanely packed year for kpop. But EVERGLOW? With all these new comebacks everyone just forgot about them. And most of EVERGLOW'S "fans" were just casual listeners and they are just there for their good music. So EVERGLOW lost A HUGE CHUNK of popularity during the hiatus. And they only promoted as 5 members throughout 2022, at one time even 4 as Aisha got injured. But she came back shortly after. I will FOREVER HATE yuehua for doing this. They couldve had an OT5 comeback without Yiren so atleast people will know theyre still active BUT NO yuehua KEPT THEM IN the dungeon for 2 years. After an entire year, Yiren finally came back and this was good news for FOREVER as they expected a comeback immediately, but NO, WE HAD TO WAIT almost another ENTIRE year for a comeback which was 8 months after Yiren's return. They came back with SLAY and even got a win against bigger groups which was good, but the drop in the mv views were noticable. Then after 9 months they came back with zombie and let me just tell you it was not successful as no one gave a crap about this and let this amazing song be ignored. And yuehua's horrible promotions were the cherry on top on letting this flop. Me as a loyal FOREVER will still support and give streams and support whatever the girls do but i can't accept and be sad about their popularity tanking due to the lack of support from kpop stans 😢 which is exactly why i'm writing this comment. EVERGLOW has alot of haters too, and even in their showcase there were TONS of negative comments on their comeback. EVERGLOW is easily yuehua's most well artists, but theyre too dumb to realize it and putting them on hiatus was a death trap. I think it's sad when i see comment's like "i thought they disbanded" or like "who is this nugu group" and it just reminds me on how Yuehua is the worst company in promotions. EVERGLOW deserve to be loved by everyone and doesnt deserve the hate they get 😢 the members are working hard and are extremely talented and don't deserve to be poorly promoted like this. It's really mindhlowing that EVERGLOW is a 5 year old group but No lightstick, No full album, Horrible promotions, No proper promotions. Mind you that tempest, their juniors already have a lightsick way before them and i think, a year after they debuted. These are all the points and proof that EVERGLOW couldve dominated the industry and couldve been the 4th gen leaders with ITZY and AESPA. And they were almost the second 4th gen girl group to have their MV hit 200M, right under ITZY. And now their most viewed MV, DUN DUN is almost at 300M views and couldve been the 2nd 4th gen gg to do so, but then (G)-IDLE's TOMBOY beat them and i think IVE and AESPA will get 300M before EVERGLOW does considering how their views are moving really slowly. They had all the points checked, international success, streams, and tons of fans. All they needed was just a loyal company who believes in them instead of mistreating and sabotaging them, this is just proof that company is always in charge of everything, no matter the success the group has, if the company messes up it's most likely over. But i will always support everglow no matter what happens as these girls mean a lot to me and my favorite artists by a mile ❤ and this was really a long ass unneccessary comment but oh well but if you read it this far then that's good i'm glad, take nots that this is just a comment for anyone who is "curious" on why they had theyre downfall because i have been seeing comments like "why did they fall off' or "damn this group fell off" and i'm sick of it. So yeah you got what you wanted☝

Now we just have to hope that Yuehua learns something from all this, because ZOMBIE is EVERGLOW's most unsuccessful Comeback (Don't get me wrong it's a great song and it's one of my favourite songs from everglow), but many kpop stans don't even know that ZOMBIE exists. Everyone has their own music preferences so that can be a good or bad thing to different listeners, but when I say this is different…I mean it.
