Evergoods support told me they don’t use strap keepers because they are a point of failure. I told them they were full of it because pants, watches, saddles, and more have all had strap keepers for ages.

Do you also find the straps to want to pull off your shoulders? Imo the straps are the achilles heel of EG bags.

I’d say that many folks will say this MPL22 is the most comfortable bag EVERGOODS makes, but just remember that’s subjective. I personally don’t find any of their bags uncomfortable.

You work hard and have some great content. That is clear. Constructive suggestion: I think you can cover most of your material in 50% of the time. Lots of overt pausing, thinking and just slowness can be edited out or eliminated. May also lead to move subscribers. You have been stuck under 1000 a long while now. Again - I like your channel and am just trying to give you some feedback that could assist you become even better at your craft! Thanks for your reviews!

I got this in the Ecopak and it does hold its shape better. But after using it for the last few weeks I’m going to sell it. Like you described it’s versatile and can do a lot of things, but there’s better bags for all of those things. Hiking? Use a hiking bag. EDC? Get something with a dedicated laptop compartment. Travel? Maybe if they didn’t nerf the harness more than it already is on EG bags. Once this hits 15lbs it’s just not something I’d wanna wear while traveling. And I don’t get the hydration port feature. Like you demonstrated the benefit of those sleeves for the easy stash doesn’t even work when the bag is packed. And when not is use those ports tent up and look like air intakes for a jet pack.

Endeavoring to make a single bag that does well in multiple environments it’s a tough thing to do. I’d say they did a great job but as you mention, it doesn’t do any one thing especially well. But that same thing makes it so versatile.

I agree that the MPL22 is a “jack-of-all-trades, master of none.” It probably works best as someone’s one and only bag if you don’t need it for work. But if you have more specialized needs there are better choices, or if your budget allows you to buy multiple bags, this will have a harder time finding a place in one’s lineup. I have the MPL22 Ecopak and primarily intend to use it for easy hiking and Dad bag duties. But for work I use the CPL24, and I’m deciding whether to keep a CTB20 and/or Tom Bihn Synapse 25 for EDC/easy on-board access in urban environments/travel. As I decide about this I’m finding a lot of overlap with the MPL22.

@@GoBearrister The dad bag trend is a theme I keep seeing come up. Can do it all with the Venn diagram overlapping at diapers 😂. It really does look like a killer dad bag though.

you are forgetting that this is the only EG backpack which weighs less than 2 lbs. as such, this is currently the best EG backpack for onebag travelling in destinations with stringent carry-on limits (typically with a max of 7 kgs = 15 lbs). CPL and CTB are almost non-starters for that situation as they weigh more than 3 lbs each. this is one situation where the MPL22 is superior to the rest of the lineup.

I use this bag for a 3 day trip. I had to bring my 14-inch laptop for some work on the go. Definitely not the smart decision, I started to feel the laptop on my back.
@ECsEDC4 ай бұрын
Lots of clothes and tech in the bag? How much do you think it weighed before starting to feel it?
@edgarCruzado4 ай бұрын
@@ECsEDC it was around 13 pounds, but I think the problem is the back panel, because it is not that rigid, I started to feel the laptop pushing my back in the second day.

This or the go ruck DC18L?
@ECsEDC4 ай бұрын
I guess that would depend on what the primary need is. If it were work carry/EDC, I’d go Bullet Ruck for the dedicated laptop sleeve (14” and under). If it were anything else probably the MPL22.

You lost me st 420D nylon?? That wouldnt ksst me a yesr!!
@ECsEDC4 ай бұрын
It’s in the Mountain line, so 420d is actually a higher density nylon than a lot of traditional hiking bags use. Remember this built with a cross functional mindset so you get the same material used in the CTB line but it’s fairly lightweight making it useful when hiking or outdoors. If you’re looking for a 1000d hiking bag, I’m not sure you’re going to find one!

Curious how this would compare to a Osprey Parsec 26
@ericcollins9103 ай бұрын
@@stevestory8483I’ve never owned that specific Osprey bag but I have spent time with the Talon, Manta and the Raptor. The Osprey bags are going to be more purpose built, and are certainly created with hiking in mind. They offer dedicated back panels that look to offload heat and prioritize comfort. EVERGOODS is not a hiking backpack company but does a great job of making an excellent bag that doubles in urban and outdoor life. If you need something for hiking Osprey is probably better suited. If you looking for a do it all bag, EVERGOODS MPL22 is a great alternative.
