I have watched a ton of Evergoods PLC20 reviews - yours nailed it for me. For 2 simple reasons: you addressed a huge concern by actually showing how you fitted your water bottle into the front compartment. And you mentioning you have used Osprey Arcane Large Day before and preferring PLC20. I was very much considering Osprey Arcane Large Day (external water bottle compartment and much lower price point). Thank you for your video!!

I have it and love it. Amazing use of space. The ability to actually use all 20 liters.

Yeah I definitely feel like I’m able to use all 20 liters when packing this bag out.

Nicely done. Finally. I’m a recent convert to Evergoods (done Goruck, Mission Workshop, Tom Bihn (work bags when I had to go into work) and really like what they’ve done with this bag. And it was good you threw in some photos showing you wearing it. I’m 6ft broad shoulders and I don’t find any issue with the fit or it sitting high. I enjoy the form and fit of it. Thanks again.

Glad you’re enjoying the bag. I’ve owned quite a few EDC bags myself but absolutely love this one. I actually don’t mind that it sits high as it helps with my posture when I am out and about with it.

Awesome review, we’ll done sir. I’ve had my PLC20L for almost a week and I simply love this bag. Love it so much that I wear it in the house. Yeah, I’m a nerd. This bag is perfect for what I wanted it for. My only nit pics are that the straps feel like they are going to slide off if I don’t wear the sternum straps. I just need to get used to the particular fit and feel. Also I’m not a fan of the sewn in pencil slot. Hate to say but seems like I big design miss on EGs part. I really don’t like that my iPad 11 pro with magic keyboard doesn’t fit here. Overall it’s a minor issue for me, but an issue just the same. I don’t miss the water bottle pocket as some do. I would much rather have the clean lines of the bag without the bottle pockets. This bag will be my daily carry for the foreseeable future, along with my CPL24v2 when it arrives in June. How does your 16” M1 MBP fit on the Roost? And is your roost the version 3. I just ordered the Roost but I’ve heard the M1 MBPs are a tight fit.

Just received my Roost and can now answer my own question. The 2021 M1 16” MBP fits great on the Roost v3.

I haven’t had that issue with the straps just yet but I’m keeping an eye out for it. I’m also very slightly bothered about how I have to carry my magic keyboard but not enough to dislike the bag. The roost V2 is definitely a tight fit but it does fit. I was thinking about getting the V3 myself. Glad it’s working out for you.

Nice review. I returned mine, but the fabric is really nice and the front dump pocket holds so much without encroaching on interior space. The top access pocket was disappointing. I get why they did it too, but even my minimal wallet was a tight fit. I wish they had gone deeper, following the line of the back panel. Then I could easily fit a wallet or phone, although I usually have my phone in my pants pocket. I found the straps “crinkly” and somewhat odd. They also seemed like they wanted to slide down over my shoulders. I’m also one of those people who was bothered by the zippers catching at the top corners. It seemed like a design flaw to me but I appreciate your comment about them breaking in and becoming smoother on your other bags. Out of curiosity, did you consider the CHZ22 or 26? Given that you don’t care about a clamshell opening and might be more comfortable with an outside water bottle pocket, the CHZ looks like a good alternative. Anyway, thanks for the comprehensive review!

Thank you for your thoughts. I have the CHZ26 as well. I love it for the most part but I’m probably one of the few people who doesn’t care for the water bottle pockets. Also the material on the bag attracts way too much dust and dirt which made it hard to keep clean when I would take it out and about or on some of the install jobs I would do. Still any amazing bag though. I’m sorry to hear the PLC didn’t work out for you.

FWIW I've heard several people say the straps get less crinkly and less slippery after some wear, same with the zippers catching.

Hello Stephon, I’ve had my PLC20 about a month ago and am really enjoying it. I use it for work/office and taking along to coffee shops with my laptop at all times. I love the feel of the material and it stays clean! Feels super durable. I bought some different color zip pulls (olive colored) along with a olive colored patch to match. I was able to carefully take out the original zip pull on the smallest top pocket and I put in the new zip pull, but now that I want to switch back, I can’t seem to get the original pull in the proper way. Do you happen to know of any how to videos for swapping out/adding back in new and original zip pulls on EG bags? It would be awesome to get that original pull back on & swap out when needed. Thank you!

I did a bit of research and also struggled to get the original pull back on that I took off without a bit of work. I finally had to look at a friends bag and just play with it until it got it.

Hows the bag been now that you used it a little longer?
@stephondoestech2 жыл бұрын
Overall still a fan. I use it as my EDC and my only complaint is the tablet pocket. It’s really tight and doesn’t have much give at all.

Hey Awesome video! You mentioned you have had most of the other bags from Evergoods. I am not used to wearing my bags up high and this is my first pack from Evergoods. So whats your opinion on the comfort of this bag? My shoulders tend to get fatigued but it may be because I haven’t broken the straps in? I also notice the straps pull out when wearing without the sternum straps. Just wanted your thoughts on comfort with this bag when carrying a decent amount. Thanks again :)
@stephondoestech2 жыл бұрын
I find the bag very comfortable. I don’t know how long I’d say it would take for the straps to break in but if you are wearing it daily definitely no longer then a couple weeks. Maybe try tightening the bag a little closer to your body and see if that helps. My bag hugs my back when I wear it.

Great review! Do you think a 16” m1 macbook pro with a sleeve would fit in the laptop compartment? Thanks!
@stephondoestech2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on the sleeve. I tried to get mine in with an incase sleeve, and it was very tight. I think with a very thin sleeve you could make it work.

Rather just have laptop bullet 16, and fit more less awkwardly 🤷🏻♂️. Not a fan of this pack but i do generally like EG products, i just think their low edc range is bad.

Front compartment is like a black hole. Put smaller things in, and you wont be able to find them. You cant even see into the compartment.
@stephondoestech2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, but I try to avoid putting small things in dump pockets like this one.
