Evergreen Subinoy Roy Songs is a select collection of well known Rabindra Sangeet songs. Rabindra Sangeet, was composed by the Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. Rabindranath Tagore had tried to come out of the influence of classical music and create original tunes. In his later years, the poet focused more into original tunes. Rabindra Sangeet has been an integral part of Bengal culture for over a century. Indian social reformer Swami Vivekananda became an admirer of Rabindra Sangeet in his youth. He composed music in the Rabindra Sangeet style. The influence of Rabindra-sangeet on Indian classical Instrumental music is perhaps due to the fact that much of what is played on Indian classical instruments today is derived from vocal music, principally of classical as also to some extent, of non classical origin.
Though it is very difficult to classify Rabindra Sangeet, still we can classify it into six parjays. These are Puja, Prem, Prakriti, Swadesh, Bichitra, and anushthanik. Puja parjay contains worshiping and devotional songs. It includes 21 upaparjays. Prem paryay includs songs about prakriti,the God and the human being. Prakriti parjay includes songs related to seasonal changes as summer, winter, rainy season, spring and Hemanta.
Evergreen Subinoy Roy Songs is a rich compilation of Bengali Rabindra Sangeet. All of these songs are immensely popular among Bengalis. This one is a legendary compilation where these evergreen Bengali Rabindra Sangeet songs are rendered by the eternal legend Subinoy Roy.

যারা আজকের দিনে রবীন্দ্রসংগীত পরিবেশন করেন; তাদের সুবিনয় রায়ের গান শুনবার পরামর্শ দেব। রবীন্দ্রসংগীতের গায়কী, পরম্পরা , ঐতিহ্য, গুরুদেব অনুমোদিত স্বরলিপি; সমস্ত কিছু অক্ষরে অক্ষরে মেনে চলেও যে এত সুমধুর, স্বপ্নিল রবীন্দ্রসংগীত পরিবেশন করা যায়; সুবিনয় রায় তার উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত! আজকাল প্রায়ই শুনি যে রবীন্দ্রসংগীত নাকি অত্যন্ত সেকেলে হয়ে গেছে! তাই তাকে যথেষ্ট আধুনিক করে তোলার অছিলায় সমস্ত ঐতিহ্য ভেঙে (এমন কি স্বরলিপিও!) নানাবিধ পাশ্চাত্য বাদ্যযন্ত্র সহযোগে পপ মিউজিকের সুরে রবীন্দ্রসংগীতের পিণ্ডি চটকানো হয়। ধিক্ শত ধিক্ তাদের! 😠

He was also a very nice man , humble to the point of being celestial like his music. My parents were fond of "Subinoy-da". He came to our derelict , colonial house in Little Russel Street many times. Fond memories of him singing at our home with his neo-purist style, while Sunil Gangopadhya singing along in his own free form -- he never objected.
