Thank you for this. I heard in another review the mx1 were better, now we know why. This is absolutely ridiculous and very annoying! They should drop the price on them by £80-£100 at least!

So shady from Everlast man. I find it crazy they wouldn't think anyone would cut them to see what was in them if they were trying to say that was in it but truly wasn't. Or other case what an oversight that they would advertise as such. Either way major fail on their part. Thanks for the update!

I worked in the sporting goods manufacturer end for almost a decade. Keep in mind that 99% of manufacturing is done through contract factories. It is unfortunate, but not outside of the realm of possibility that there was a disconnect (perhaps something got lost in translation or maybe even done on purpose by the factory as a cost-saving measure hoping no one would find out) from the specification on the order and what was actually produced. Not an excuse, but it can and does happen. I was always disappointed that we did not have a rep at the factory to double-check quality and specs prior to shipping. We had to clean up plenty of similar messes on our end after receipt of goods.

It may be just an honest mistake as there is some horse hair in Mx fight gloves which is not 100% horse hair, maybe the website people accidentally put it on there and since they have a big product line, it is easy to miss, because these gloves are also MX but training series. $229 is still normal price for the leather quality MX2 has. And it is nice that Everlast corrected the website and issued refund, I do not think they were maliciously doing it. Because if they were really sneaky they would have priced the glove at $499 which is what actual 16 Oz bunch of horse hair would cost.

Im also a believer in truth just give it to me straight 👍 gret vid. I suspect theres a bit of this kinda thing going on. Im not mentioning brands but i have a pair of gloves (not cheap ones) that i have suspected are moulded foam. The companys website when i purchased them said multiple layers of foam this was a couple of years ago. I happened to go to the website and have a look and guess what, theyve removed the reference to layered foam and now it doesnt say whether it is layered foam or moulded foam. I also hate butchering gloves so untill the gloves are shagged im not cutting them open but i can feel just one puffy foam mass with one single consistant density all through the foam top to bottom which feels like imf to me. So yeah i cant be 100% but i do suspect theres much more of this going on than we are aware of

That's shady enough for me to steer clear. There's so many good brands with good gloves it's very easy to move on from looking into a pair/brand. I also don't understand the logic behind it though. They did it with higher end gloves and they're way more likely to be scrutinized, especially by reviewers and experienced users. This was bound to come to light I feel like. Makes me think what else they could be doing to either deceive or cut costs and again just that questioning alone will make me avoid Everlast
@francisfrancis42199 ай бұрын
Why does the “brand owner” not get a mention? Certainly they earned it. This “truth unveiling” is a sort of theft in and of itself as well, especially as cutting the gloves went against your own advice.
@Somnus882 жыл бұрын
But the real question is why would you WANT horsehair in your training gloves? It's meant for fight gloves. In training the padding would cave in after just several weeks of use.
@saintsfps5348 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that doesn't actually happen
@Somnus88 Жыл бұрын
@@saintsfps5348 Then why do horse hair fight gloves have that tag where you're required to mark off every six rounds they've been used?
@saintsfps5348 Жыл бұрын
@@Somnus88 all pro fight gloves have that. A good chunk of modern day gloves that have horse hair in the training gloves have pockets for the horse hair so they don't move away from the knuckles. And the other gloves are packed very tight so they can't just move it
