How's does the tig works? Do u got any videos on it
@SlabGuy Жыл бұрын
I don’t unfortunately. I’ve only used the stick function.

I’ve been on the fence on grabbing this unit. Lots of info on the older 160, so it’ll be interesting to see how you like it. Like you, I’m mainly looking for the tig functionality, but Ilike that it supposedly can run 6010 electrodes as well. I’m sure others will ask, so if you buy any electrodes, maybe grab a small box of 6010s to see how long it can keep the arc lit.

It does have a dedicated 6010 function on the front panel so I’m assuming it should work well. It does also have the added pulse and 2T/4T functions added to the TIG side as well. I have high hopes for it!

@@SlabGuy sweet machine to do all this for the price but dedicated port kills field work when u have 250ft of lead strung out. I got the esab miniarc 161lts and love it. No foot control or hi freq but awesome machine for what u will get in the field

I just ordered the 160 sth on amazon and what I got was the 160 sth-i for the price of the older one , it has a new face with way more features same as the 161 just no 6010 and no pulse,
@professorlloyd17896 жыл бұрын
kalei p do you have a link? They price hiked the 161 over a hundred bucks after new year. I’d be tempted to order the other one in hopes of getting the updated version. Do you have a pic of your front panel?

I've got an Everlast 140st and an Everlast 200DX. Both are great welders. Have a lot of fun with it!

Subscribed, i'm looking to pick one of these up in the new year, if you can try out the tig and tig+pulse feature on video I'd love to see it.
@SlabGuy6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the follow. I will be looking into the pulse feature specifically for a video.

Would this be good for practicing on 4” sch 40 pipe? Does it have enough amps is basically what I’m saying
@SlabGuy5 жыл бұрын
It should work well. Generally 160 amps is more than enough for most things, you just have to make multiple passes. This only puts out full amps on 220 volts but I’ve been able to do a lot on 110.

I really liked the specs on the Everlast 160sth. I ended up getting an Everlast MTS welder because I wanted to be able to mig weld.
@massa-blasta5 жыл бұрын
how much did you pay for it?
@kylebrown88915 жыл бұрын
I bought the same one and the book confused the heck out of me for some reason
@SlabGuy5 жыл бұрын
I had good luck figuring it out via KZbin videos of this one and other everlast machines.

I wanted the more powerful Everlast 210STL with 6010 functionality built in, but the lack of some desirable features has me leaning towards the less powerful PowerArc 161STH
