Hmmm, makes me wonder why the manufacturers don't put a thin copper coating on the bottoms to help with heat distribution. I wished you would have demonstrated it's pouring capability. It looks very useful.

The copper is a good idea tho I'm not sure how well it would bond and the durability of it as a whole as copper is a relatively soft material. I'll keep the pouring request in mind next time the cam is on with this bit of kit about.

Does the handle unscrew, to perhaps use a Jet Boil Silicone French Press through the hole in the lid?

Yes, minute 4:10 shows the hex screw. I've never opened it but I guess you could. The hole may need to be opened up a bit to accommodate the french press shaft as the screw seems pretty small.

Is Japanese titanium better quality?

Production tolerance appears to be better. But that being said, the good Chinese made brands like Toaks also make stellar stuff. From a metallurgical aspect I doubt there's any significant difference. Been using both Japanese and Chinese titanium for years. Both are equally durable.

Ive seen Toaks pots wear through on the bottoms, but to be fair these pots were used very heavily and the users always scorched the bottoms (by doing things like having it on the full-blast burner for a bit before they add the water). I prefer Japanese Titanium just based on manufacturing experience and my perception of overall quality, but most people I know use chinese Toaks.
