This is much less appealing to Oakwynd players as alts will have separate lockouts and gear is heirloom. Sharing tradeskills, sharing keys and keeping banestrike acheevs (and the like) on main changes are the only real advantages for an AP on Oakwynd.

They really need to make legacy character for all the servers, but Oakwynd is special. Banestrike sharing alone makes the system better than alts in most cases. Megadeath is a bitch.

This also frees up endgame players to create a new persona to level up with a new player, so when their friend joins the game, they can join them as the new persona even if they have filled their character slots, it would be hard to not have enough persona slots to do something like that.

the only thing i can think of is like mage/rogue sneak in to camp as rogue change to mage call of heros group ummm

Does rogue invis beat bard double invis? I have only found one spot with mobs that see through that so far and I just double invis my mage and run. 3 rogue and campfire seems doable but I wonder what camps it would be needed for.

Thanks for the consistent videos Hammack, they are a huge help for someone like me coming back to the game after many years away from it. I had a question for you about buying the expansion if you have multiple accounts for boxing purposes. Do you just pick up the base package for it to be cost efficient for the unlock? The $250.00 upgrade looks to have a lot of extras, but I only see one tradeable expansion upgrade included for the "Friends and Family" package. Does it only have that and a single upgrade for the purchasing account? Or am I missing something in the fine print? Thanks again for all your information. Preciate ya mang.

So I typically get 1 F&F for my main account then collectors for the boxes, only because each of my boxes has a "series" character on it. If I did it more organized I would I have 1 Main account and the boxes would just be boxes so I could get the basic tiers. I am down to 6 accounts vs 20 so its a bit more easy to handle. I only get 1 friends and family so I can trade the items to my box accounts if they end up needing it at some point. Some server you can sell the tradable items for KR to get a head start also.

I logged into Test yesterday and gave the persona feature a test drive. I found that mercenaries were shared. My merc suspended and had to be unsuspended with every swap (the buttons were quirky and didn't always reflect the suspended state) Merc AA's were independent per persona, and the merc changed level to reflect the level of the persona each time it was unsuspended, but it was the same merc in the sense that I didn't have to go hire one and it had the same name and appearance.

as someone that just single boxes, it is basically useless to have personas. might as well just have a full alt having to go back to a main city to swap. and yeah the grind mobs from 110+ for your persona's also makes them useless if they don't make those quests repeatable. You seem to be under the assumption that every single person boxes, because youre entire argument why personas are good is because of a mechanic that requires 3 players to use (campfires). Also the idea that you keep your personas as classes in the same role for the evolving items, that's absurd, that reduces the value of the mechanic at all. Why would i want to have a berserker persona on a rogue? When is a group or raid ever going to ask people to swap from 1 melee dps , or 1 caster dps to another? The whole point in my eyes is to be able ot easily swap to what the raid/group needs, which is usually swapping from DPS to tank, or healer, or maybe a specific support like enchanter or bard. Not slightly different of the same thing. The most extreme version of persona switching should be how they handle picks, which is to puts you at the zone in/succor point when you swap. As it is now the only benefit of persona over an alt is shared expansion AAs and tradeskills.

I can see the swap from Zerk to rogue being more or less being able to adjust to nerfs. I see you point tho as a single player.

If you've done the quest to upgrade your mercenaries do you have to do them again for each persona?

You don’t have to do it at all anymore they got rid of merc ranks.

Hah, the Merc AAs don't change, and still apply. Enjoy your level 1 merc with 100x more hp than normal.

Maybe, i am missing something, i see where it says when you create the persona the gear will go in your bags to create the persona slot. But if you have Shm only raid gear and epic for sham. and you want to make a SK will you get the raid gear and the 2.0 for the SK or will those slots just remain empty on the SK?

When you create a Persona it is like a brand new character that starts at level 1. You have to re - level / gear / etc the Persona. They share trade skills/achievements/lockouts/etc. When you swap you have the ability to save a gear set for the Persona, so it will auto equip it.
