Evert Ploeg paints portrait of Ngarluma senior Elder Mr Tim Douglas

A portrait of senior Ngarluma Elder Mr Tim Douglas from Roebourne, was painted by esteemed painter Evert Ploeg, which was commissioned by Big hART. This portrait is a finalist in the 2022 Darling Portrait Prize and is part of an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra until 9th October 2022.
Four generations of the Douglas family were involved in the process, including great grand-children Shanae and Kimsey who created a digital portrait with audio, film and photo work.
