Expectations on Maddison are too high. He is surrounded by mediocrity like Sarr, Bissouma, Bentancur, Werner, Johnson, so when Spurs struggle as they do he gets the blame because he’s expected to be world class every game. He can’t win every game for Spurs, they just need to sign better players

@@D1Snr Kula can be inconsistent as well. Even Keane described him as a league 2 player last year. Imagine if you had players with the calibre of Kula and Maddison in every position. They wouldn't be relying on just 2-3 players to win every game. That's what City, Arsenal and Liverpool have, so if Salah or Rodri or Havertz has a bad game, there's 10 other quality players to pick up the slack. Spurs are weighed down by their mediocrity.

Replace the word spurs with the word ange and youre starting to get it. Maddison was a wide 10 at leicester, ange plays him out of position at spurs in the centre. Solanke does a lot more sprinting in anges system so its luikely he'll get more inuries.

Never do I remember a time that so many players got injured during training, and some or most have proved to be long term injuries too. I'm convinced that Ange does not have what it takes to manage a bunch of players at this level. What's being asked of the players is just too much, you can see they are tired every game. And today proves that when Ange does offer a plan b, finally, it's not the right plan. That said. How many mangers can you blame before you look to the real issue. This club has become a business, a successful business but a business none the less.

Porro is knackered, he also isn't a great defender, Dragusin is bloody awful, Davies has just come back from injury and has never been good enough and Spence ( who has been a shining light ) is a right back playing out of position ... but Ange insists on playing the same way even though he relies on VdV's pace but he is forever injured and isn't on the pitch. Yes, injuries have played a part but Ange NEEDS to be more tactically aware and at 59 I don't think he can change.
