I think he's here for as long as he wants. This is his last job. He will improve us to top half minimum. Not immediately but over the 2 seasons. I dont see us ever needing to sack him or him leaving until he retires.

No surprise that Moyes has brought one or two players out of the woodwork, how quickly he’s done it shows how Dyche had run out of ideas. Credit to him for last season but as Thomas Frank said in the Lineker interview, you have to change and try new things each season. Bravo Jake and Jesper 👏

Very good points once again Baz! Everton were really good in the first half and we scored a couple of superb goals! In the second half we gave the ball away too easily and run out of energy in the end. Thankfully the dreadful Bournemouth experience didn't materialize. The second half showed we need asap the services of Garner, McNeil and Iroegbunam to keep our midfield going in full cylinders throughout the games. We must also get at least a few new players to bolster and freshen our play. Think if we have a much improved squad, Calvert-Lewin could sign a new contract and with more quality players around him could become once again the hit man he is capable of.

I hope DCL realises what a waste it would be, for him to sit on someone else's bench, when he could be leading Moyes' team. Playing 4 years at Bramley Moore could be the making of him.
@timdawson466212 күн бұрын
I think thst if we can keep him beyond this window he will stay. I think it's only going to get better from here and Bramley Moore Is a draw. Why would any striker want to sign a new contract under Dyche. We will probably have to give him a hefty signing on fee but the transfer fee that would be needed to replace him would be higher.

DCL gets a lot of flak, usually because of his goals return. But, it's hard to recall a game where he didn't run himself ragged. Really great to see us stringing a few passes together today, especially in & around their box. If that's the way we're going to play from now on, I can only see DCL getting his mojo back and grabbing a few more. Great result, let's hope this is the turning point this fantastic club deserve. COYB. ; )
@timdawson466212 күн бұрын
Dyche really damaged this team and the players confidence. Fullbacks afraid to go forward, strikers completely out of confidence, wingers not allowed to attack etc etc etc. Moyes has done more with then in 5 days that Dyche since he got them.

The score flattered them; with better quality, it should have been more! DCL had good moments but still strays offside.

Spot on Baz huge win would've preferred 3 at the back no idea why he brought Keane on who is a trainwreck of a player nearly cost us at the end Doucoure is a complete liability on the ball he needed taking off for Harrison Armstrong last 15 mins already way better on the ball. If were gonna build on this we need to not only improve the squad by bringing in what we need but also not playing players that dont deserve to i.e Michael Keane especially completely useless and look sending Jack Harrison back to Leeds to free up a loan spot hes not good enough not entirely his fault Dyche shattered his confidence playing him on the right he was good on the left especially under bielsa. Think Moyes plan is to just get us safe asap then planning can begin for next season 5 more wins and a few draws will do it 💙

We finally buried a hoodoo today. We never beat Tottenham. It makes a world of difference to finally see us attack with intent. David Moyes should have been brought in months ago, but I guess we couldn't do anything with a board.
@cjarmstrong593912 күн бұрын
We were so good for 70 mins before their legs went... In just 7 days Moyes has got more out of DCL, Lindstrom, Mangala than Dyche did in 5 months. JOB looked decent - Dyche never trusted him. Despite what he loved to say, Dyche was the problem, not the solution. Should be safe by 1st March.

DCL has had plenty of chances despite Dyche's negativity. Never looked like scoring. I suspect it will be a few more matches before we see this performance from him again. Seen this story too many times. Well done today, though, he was immense but should have scored more.
@kennyharper589112 күн бұрын
I agree on the the throw ins going backwards, I know sometimes you need to do it but when you have your foot on a teams throat make it pay, go forward, Gueye did it today and 15secs later instead of having a corner or an attack we are defending one. Great win like, but good point on the throws.
@michaelh87812 күн бұрын

@davidbennion377411 күн бұрын
We played well, of course, but in the first half we were up against a makeshift defence playing in an unfamiliar formation which Ange Postecoglou had put together. In the second half they changed back to their more traditional system, we didn't score again and we conceded twice. Let's get another couple of matches under our belt before we start thinking our oroblems are over.

Happy Monday to be a blue. Felt like the whole place got a lift from the first whistle. We battled, we kept the ball and we attacked with purpose. Moyes suits the club. Baines by his side adds to this. Bring in a few players and we can hopefully kick on. The only negative for me was Doucoure, who once again lacks the ability to make a decent pass or hold onto the ball. He needs taking out the side for a while. Be great to see McNeill under Moyes. UTFT 💙

That would be in the summer and there are plenty of forwards in the world. I would like him to stay as he is fit these days, but he hasn't scored enough for the past few seasons. It would hardly be the end of the world.

Baz, I can't agree that Mychelenko had a good game. I would say he was by far our worst player, as he has been for some time. Watch when he gets the ball, it always, always goes backwards. And please keep him away from taking any shots. All about opinions of course but I'd have him and Deucoure out of the team.
@Systemupdate-EFC12 күн бұрын
Dom could stay, the lads put up with a lot of crap because he's been used as a donkey. I feel Dom will look at the brighter future now. New stadium, better players around him, new owners, new manager. Come on Dom, sign lad and reap the rewards, why go to an average team. Stay!
@evertonfanaccount189112 күн бұрын
I agree there is probably more chance he leaves, but I really could see him staying if he keeps scoring goals until the end of the season moyes may really try encourage him to stay, as if he values minutes more than money there isn’t many teams above us he would start week in week out for and dom may realise this.
