So basically the 80s cartoons were based on popular toy franchises, cute animals, & muscular super heroes.

I'm a 2005 kid who watched every smurf episode when I was a kid and I wanted to give some fun facts lol. Papa smurf isn't the oldest, theres another character which is Grandpa Smurf, he's really prominent during Smurfs Adventures. There are presumably only 100 Smurfs, but due to cartoon logic this really isn't always the case. Smurfs don't reproduce sexually, but theres an episode where a smurf is born during a "Blue Moon", this episode gave us "Baby Smurf" as a new character and he appears often. They also get their adjective names based on their first words! Theres actually another girl smurf and she's named Sasette, basucally a Kid Female Smurf! Smurfette created her due to feeling lonely being the only girl. (Theres also the Hidden Village movie where they reveal another Smurf Clan and they were all females!)

My favorite 80s cartoon is Care Bears Family even though I am from 98. It ended really fast because the 80s were an era of high quality but reran for a long time. For your question about Smurfette, she was made by Gargamel and The Smurfs are immortal but not invincible.

1980s in the USA, my favourite mornings were with one episode of the Gobots and one of Robotech. That was like all the fantasy of sci fi for my age.

Still hoping for another good Thundercats adaptation lol, the one from the early 2010s was my favorite.

Yeah same me too Although I have never watched the original obviously but I think 2014 one was good but the 2019 one was garbage because Warner Bros never treated the franchise better.

I swear people are so out of date with the franchise now, did they forget that they added a village of female smurfs in the lost village movie, behind the village wall comics, and 2021 show?
