In your ranches you should set it to sweep meat to get it out before hatches have a chance to eat it before the dupes get it.

You should grab those wort seeds and use them to freeze the food in your food pit. Works great, but you'll need to put in at least 2 temp-shift plates to keep the temperature stable as co2 doesn't transfer or hold much temperature.

I like to run two fridges. One auto wired to the grill and limited to the right amount of food per cycle for my dupe count, and the other used to stored raw ingredients and any spoilable excess. I also keep a box around for non-spoilables like muckroot.

Once you have some mommydaddy stone hatches you can feed them igneous rock. You should have metric tonnes of it.

I think you switched away from mush bars too early. You would've had more meat production if you had grown your hatch population first.

I think he also has the achievement for not growing food now so he could just grow food to prevent starvation and save the algae for oxygen

I definitely did it differently to you. I had only 10 duplicants by this point, but I think I got to the meat supplies earlier? I've been focusing on getting a mechatronics system up and running for the ranch ASAP, and getting a dupe with the pre-set skill in the starting loadout.

late to the party, but I actually only kill adult hatches when they're at a really low reproduction level. I always assumed it would take longer to wait for a new reproduction cycle than kill a hatch that is going to reproduce soon. I have never looked at that time frame but maybe someone else had a better idea. I have watched your content for a while but just subbed thanks for all the content!

Pretty sure I am watching this for the second time ... good entertainment ... just a question ... with seeing a few of the types of "critters" ... are there any critters in game that are initially hostile ? (i.e. attack the dupes on sight?)

5:00 the problem was the egg, 14:14 if u dig the oxylite u lose have of it mass, leave to gas off better ? 39:39 try weight sensor ? i am not sure if it's gonna work

I'm not sure the digging oxylite and losing mass thing is still accurate.

@@GrindThisGame if I recall correctly undug oxylite off gasses 50% so you still get the same loss as if you dig it. Oxylite debris is 100% but you already lost the 50% by digging. I tend to leave it though just so it's easier to see when it's used up.

Speaking about slimy dupes, there's probably an achievement involving showers. You don't need to focus on that now of course, just a heads up.

You've finishing the locavore achievement, so you can now put your toilet water into Thimble reeds, that's the way go if you've got plenty of water. You can also have a few farms now as a back-up food supply, Mush bars are pretty bad. I'd try combining a sweetle farm with Grubfruit

Watching the dupes have to crawl twice to get to the dispenser for the storage is beyond painful - can't you build them a floor so they can be a heck of a lot more efficient dropping stuff off?
